Ok, so when you're at a restaurant or something with the little sauce containers, do you normally dip your burgers into the container, open the burger and spread the sauce on the bun, or other? c:

(In case you're confused, I mean at a fast food restaurant or something with the little containers of ketchup, mustard, BBQ sauce, etc.) :3

I love burgers.

but, I don't understand this thread at all.

I've never been to a restaurant that had condiment containers large enough to dip my burgers into...
and i'm not sure what you mean by sauce-- do you mean mustard and ketchup? because that's all that's usually on the table in a burger joint...

I don't eat them, but typically I see chefs marinate the "meat", then add the sauce again on the bread.
Seems like a way to get a very flavorful product.
When it's regular sauces like mayo or ketchup, putting some on both pieces of bread and then on the patty is a good way to balance it out.

I dip into container mostly because I'm a messy burger eater lol

I'm sorry but I've never heard of dipping a burger into a container xD I have never done that haha

I love burgers, especially homemade ones. Usually tomato sauce on the bottom and mayo on top :)

I usually open the burger and just squirt the ketchup in yanno
but most of the time the chefs already put some sort of tomato relish or something in the burger so you don't need to add anything aha

I don't eat burgers from restaurants, imo they're just not good. I always eat homemade ones or from like stalls and they always ask me if I want sauce on it so I don't have to do it myself

Does ketchup count? XD I dip my burger into ketchup but I also open up the bun and just put crazy amounts of it. I don't spread it at all, I put the bun back on the burger and squish it so that the ketchup would spread throughout.

I get either ketchup, mustard, barbecue sauce, mayonnaise, or something else and put it on both buns before putting them back on the burger.

Never heard of dipping a burger, but I guess if I want sauce then I'd just spread it on the bun. I tend to not add extra condiments to burgers if they come with their own sauce though.

I took this thread title the wrong way....

I usually just leave in in the plastic and put it on my burger. EEKEKEKE

dipping burgers seems too messy for me, so i just put it on the bun. i once heard that putting the sauce directly on the bun is a sin but i dunno where else you'd put it lol

sometimes dip, sometimes spread

dip leans heavier towards the smaller burgers though, for obvious reasons of being easier to do

lettuce can work as a good layer for the sauce if you use that

plus the patty itself

thats true, but i don't wanna to dismember my sandwich once it's made tho

I personally spread the sauce over my buns

i don't understand however i don't know anyone who uses a container to dip their buns in

unless you're eating an appetizer sized burger, it's more likely to just put the sauce on a plate/napkin/whatever than any individual container for dipping

more room to work with and all
