How do you eat fries?

Topped with cheese is my ultimate preference.

Otherwise ketchup, mayonnaise, srichicha, or srichicha mayo depending on what else is on the plate. Or just plain. That works too.

It was around the time I made this that I started to get tired of local food venues smothering fries with American Cheese.

American Cheese is fine when it's properly melted. But most food trucks serve half cooked plastic.

...I'm still going to eat them anyways. It's a total love hate relationship.

American Cheese on Nachos is an absolute no go for me. Theatres do this. It's gross.

Generally just salted and dipped in ketchup, but if any restaurant I go to offers chili cheese fries I just have to get them. I'm also a huge fan of garlic fries, though I don't have those very often. But the fries have to actually have substance to them, I'm not much of a fan of ultra-thin ones or "shoestring" fries. I want my fries to actually have some potato in them!

I eat them with salt. Sometimes there are seasonings that I find pretty good. Arby's seasoning on their curly fries are pretty good, also Applebee's seasoning is delicious. However, I don't typically eat fries with much seasoning. I won't eat fries with anything else. I find ketchup to be okay, but I've never rushed to get any. I'm perfectly fine with fries plain.

I usually just have plain fries with salt, but the Checker's/Rally's fries mentioned in the original post I like even more.
I think I also love cheese fries but I have that very rarely.

...I don't really like condiments.

Yo! I don't discriminate. I've had them all kinds of ways.

Ketchup
Ketchup/mayo blend
Ketchup/mayo mustard blend
BBQ sauce
Sweet n sour sauce
Ranch
Alabama white sauce
Burger King zesty sauce (though that was years ago because they were really rude at the last one I was at and now I refuse)
Salt
Salt and TONS of pepper
Buffalo/ranch blend (love Buffalo but I'm a wuss and really have to tone it down)
Sour cream and onion powder my bf bought at Bass Pro Shops
Nacho sauce
Cheese/bacon/green onions/BBQ sauce
Popeyes blackened ranch
Dipped in mashed potatoes
Various gravies
Garlic parm
Sweet Thai chili (delicious but couldn't handle since I'm a wuss, see Buffalo above
Shrimp scampi

I'm sure there's more

Yeah I really only like that type of cheese if it's on a grilled cheese. Then it's fine, but most times it's kinda gross.

As for fries I guess I would eat it either way it was prepared at a restaurant or if someone made them, but I am plain. I will eat them as they are, with salt, pepper, or ketchup most times if I make them.

I grew potatoes one year and made them to. It was more healthy the way I prepared them and they decent, but the way most fries are prepared still tasted better.

I actually don't really like condiments. Never have. As a kid I would always say that if I needed to put ketchup on something, it meant the thing wasn't very good to begin with. I'd rather just eat fries on their own! Although of course they're typically salted, which I do prefer. If I'm making potatoes in the oven at home, I'll put salt, pepper, garlic powder, maybe other simple seasonings. But no ketchup or mustard for me.

Yam or sweet potato fries with chipotle mayo are my favourite! I think potato wedges are a close second especially if they're homemade

Just salt on fries here. Fries are delicious.
🍟🍟🍟🍟🍟 😋
Something that's really rare, is having cheese sauce on them.

Depending on the type of fry, just plain or with ketchup. I was in French Canadian territory for vacation last week and they serve fries with mayonnaise. I tried it. Not too bad but I definitely prefer ketchup more. Salt is a good add-on, I’ve tried mustard and vinegar before too.

I usually eat fries with salt and ketchup, but it depends on the type of fry. I typically eat some kinds plain, and I don't mind eating regular fries plain either
