Never really thought about it, but I guess there are quite a few ways to sit. So what's the most comfortable sitting position for you? Or how do you sit most of the time?

I usually sit crossed leg (like if I was on the floor but I'm in a chair or couch) or I sit on my hip with knees together and bent. I guess kinda like a twist.
If I'm not at home, I still sit crossed leg, but it looks more like crossing ankles, my feet stay on the floor but not thier soles.

I usually do the perch. It’s seen as weird by most people and I’ve only ever seen one other person do it in my life. If there’s a bench, for example, I’ll perch on the floor and use the bench as a table for my stuff. I find it very comfortable to sit this way.

I don’t know if many people are going to know what this is, and weirdly enough I’m currently sitting like this as I type, so here’s a picture:

I usually sit crosslegged as well, or with one leg folded underneath the other. If I'm at work, though, I'll sit with my feet on a footstool or the lower rung of the chair. Our benches at work are quite high, so my feet don't really touch the ground in the chairs, and sitting crosslegged in a lab coat seems kind of uncomfortable lol. Not to mention gross because I don't want my shoes that have been touching the floor touching my scrubs (I work in a hospital lab).

i usually sit cross legged when i’m at home, but i fractured my foot a couple months ago (i’m easing back into sitting cross legged, though!), so i’ve just been sitting on my bed, my right leg bent as if i was sitting cross legged, and my left leg dangling off my bed, my foot placed on the floor, as if i was about to stand up. i’ll also sit propped up by a pillow, in a semi-laying position with my legs stretched out in front of me, when the first position gets uncomfortable.

when i’m not at home, i’m almost always sitting on a chair or couch, and i usually sit in one of these positions:

sitting with my back straight is uncomfortable for me, so i always slouch or lean my back against something if i can. my legs are also always bent, and my feet are always on the floor.

I try to sit in a chair with both feet on the ground, legs at 90 degrees, back fully supported by the chair. That's what my physical therapist recommended for my bad shoulder and neck pain! When there are no chairs, I'll fold my legs criss crossed. On my bed, I'll sit with my legs bent or with them extended straight out, depending on if I need my legs to hold my phone or not. Overall, sitting in a chair with back support is the most comfortable to me.

I had a really bad habit of sitting in chairs with one leg crossed over the other, but was told that was misaligning my hips really badly so I try to catch myself when I do that. That's my cue to stand up and move around a little bit, like grabbing some water or doing some light stretching!

My mom sits with one leg over the other and yeah she has to get her hips realigned all the time. I'll have to mention it to her. I wonder if it effects her tail bone too or not.

If I'm not sitting in a chair then I like to sit how Croconaw showed, sometimes I just like to have my legs straight out so they can stretch (because I have very long legs) if I'm sitting in a chair I sit with my legs stretched out towards the floor.

lol I never sit in a chair properly, one way I sit a lot is with one leg folded under me and my other foot up on the chair. I also occasionally sit cross-legged but I find if I do that for too long it makes my bad knee hurt when I try to stand up 😅

I like sitting with my feet up on the couch/chair. It's the most comfortable to me, even if it's not considered polite.

If I'm outside, I do the perch like Croconaw showed to not get my clothes dirty.

I actively straightened my back when I read the title. Haha. I’m a little hunchback if I’m not paying attention.

I sit different ways depending on my clothing, the temperature, and the thing I’m sitting on. Although, I’ve realized I mostly sit as if I’m cold just by habit of being cold.

One leg crossed over the other, usually— or with both legs straight out. However, I prefer to lay on my front rather than sit when I’m writing, drawing, or coloring.

Depends on where I'm sitting and what I'm doing.

When I'm relaxed, I usually sit back with one leg crossed over the other. I switch legs pretty frequently.

When I'm working or focused on something, I sit more towards the edge of the seat and hunch forward. I'm trying to break that habit because it's bad for my back. I also sometimes kick off my shoes if I'm at home, pull my feet as far back as possible with my ankles crossed, curl my toes and rest the knuckles on the floor. Another bad habit I need to break.

When I sit on the floor, I prefer to sit on one hip with my legs bent off to one side.

i sit with both legs crossed. my teachers hammered it into my head that it was the proper way to sit since you take up less space when sitting on a floor, but now i do it anytime. sitting in a chair, sitting in the car, on the couch, in bed etc.

i rarely assume the cross legged position
though i did just now and i basically felt inner peace

usually i sit with one leg over the other, or with both feet on the floor + leaning back. or a hybrid of the two when im leaning against a cushion on one side. these don't occur when im beside a radiatior though

For the most part, I either sit with one leg over the other or with my ankles crossed. Though when I sit on the floor, I almost always sit cross-legged.

I always sit cross legged regardless of where I'm sitting. When a nurse takes my blood I have to force myself to straighten my legs out. In those situations I feel actively uncomfortable.
