Do you have stereos everywhere to create atmosphere, or do you prefer not to use K.K's music much at all? I'm definitely the former — I love the K.K. songs and had a blast collecting them all, and probably have at least 20 music players just outdoors, setting the mood for all the different areas of my island. Plus two maxed out houses with music in every room! I never use the same song twice, and as a result my island is probably a bit of a sensory overload to walk around 🙈 I can't help it, though —I love that I can make a cafe sound like a cafe, or a beach bar sound like a beach bar. What's your preference?

I have 1 on playing welcome horizons so that its the song they sing around the island.

I had more but turning it off fixed my frame rate issues so now it's only the one and it's out the way.

In particular areas of my island that I what to have a certain feel, I will hide a tape deck or something with a song on it.
I have a bamboo area I do this with, Redd's beach, an outside Asian seafood restaurant/take out like place, Saharah's relief camp, as well as Blathers and Celeste's chill observatory camps.
Most of my island is the default hourly music. I really wish we could choose whatever song we want to play all the time, or a shuffle of songs we pick. The default hourly or the kk songs. Visiting Dream Addresses I have noticed a popular choice is to have a song play at the RS plaza. I find it really nice and have been debating on doing the same.

I am happy we have the option of the tape decks, record players ect... being able to all play different songs. I remember towards the beginning of release I assumed we were able to but they had it where you could only have one song play outside no matter where you placed music players at. I am very glad they changed it later.

I have something in most rooms of my house, but outside, I have four. Three are along beaches (a surf shop, a kid's tent and fire, and one behind my camp ground) and one is hidden behind a tree in my forest. I'm thinking of moving the one near the fire and putting it up in my treehouse, but I don't have the right song yet.

I need to turn something on and off, because right now my villagers sing "Bubblegum K.K.", and it isn't great.

Whenever I get around to building more areas, I might use music more. So far I just have one song at the beach and one in my crappy mermaid area. I don't really want to overdo it with the utdoor music though, I like my island a little more natural.

I'll definitely use music in my houses though.

I have several music players of various types around my island. I like to play Imperial KK in my zen area but have Bubblegum KK playing at my outdoor concert stage. I have Surfin' KK at my surf shop, and various other players across my islands. I think they're fun but I try not to place too many too close together. I like to give it a good long walk of silence/just the regular music track so it doesn't mix together or feel like too much. It's just a little accent that helps evoke a feeling/atmosphere to match the decor in that area, you know?

You need to have a item that allows you to play KK songs like for example a Cute Music Player. And then you can play whatever KK song you want to play.

Oh yes, I know! I probably worded the title badly. I was just curious about the different ways people prefer to use music on their islands. :)

I only have one shell speaker on the beach. it currently plays Animal City, but sometimes I’ll change it so my musical villagers will sing a different song.

I have two “secret” boom boxes hidden by my Nooks Cranny area playing Animal City, trying to recreate City Folk. I also have a boom box in my “imperial gardens” area playing K.K. Lament (which looked better when Cranston lived there instead of Zucker, but oh well) and I don’t think I have any others.

I have music players scattered around, one is near the entrance and when I'm decorating villager's yards I usually put a record player nearby.

I have "Animal City" playing in my marketplace.
I also have a radio playing a couple of my villagers yards, and a shuffled playlist in front of my house.

I don't really like using stereos around my island because their range is quite small and most of the areas on my island are too big for them to reach all the way around. I do however have a little marketplace area next to Nook's shop that I have a radio in, though I usually just use that to hear a villager sing a certain song :)

I have one by my plaza that is on so I can catch my villagers singing to it. That’s about it though. There’s a shell speaker and a cassette player too but they usually aren’t on. They’re more for looks.

Yes I have a few music players scattered around my island. My island is tropical themed so some of the songs I have playing are KK Condor, KK Faire, KK island, KK calypso, Aloha KK, and surfin KK.

I think I have only 3 music players through out my island (plus music inside my house of course). One of them is a radio so it can play random songs because I actually really like that. I also have 1 music player near my pool area and 1 on another area of my beach but I don't remember what songs they are playing.

I do like the idea of playing welcome horizons for the villagers to sing, I might steal that idea.

I have a few music players scattered around my island, including the lily record player and phonograph c: I usually select a song that matches the vibe of the area it's in. For example, my little serene breakfast area by my house has a phonograph that plays stale cupcakes. My entrance is always playing farewell because I think it matches the overall vibe of my island ^^

I currently only have two spots where music plays on my island. One is Stale Cupcakes at my riverside outdoor cafe.

The other is at my outdoor stage complete with a full band setup. There I just set the player to random so it cycles through all the songs to keep it interesting. :)

I have only a couple placed around, though I do intend to add more eventually! I have one in my shopping square playing Animal City, KK Aloha playing on the beach, Spring Blossoms in a cozy forest area. I think adding music around the map really does help to add some specific atmosphere to decorated areas. :)
