I do, but I usually hide them behind something just to keep them out of sight. My island has a natural forest theme, so having random radios would look weird.
I have a couple of music players outside, mostly just to add to the decor in certain areas, but sometimes I do place them to add a bit of music to an area usually kk disco as I find that one very upbeat.
As much as I want to take cotton balls to my ears when it comes to the hourly soundtrack, I only place radios outdoors in areas where they would realistically be found. Off the top of my head, I've got one on the beach playing a tropical song (K.K. Slack-Key I believe); another by my hotel's pool playing a different song; and a cheap "shuffle" radio by my campsite. I try to pair songs with the radio's scenery whenever possible.
Certainly do. Been trying our best to make a little gyroid garden with a speaker so they can jam out, but its a work in progress. Haven't quite figured out how to make it look nice.
I have one by the town hall on shuffle, and then a couple here and there playing Animal City to create a vibe then each islander has their own playing their favourite song in their front garden
if I'm remembering it right, I've got six music players, three radios, and one music box scattered throughout my island. which of the music players, half are set to shuffle through all songs in the game, while the other half are set to specific songs
I have a couple. One in the crafting plaza that I switch up the music on, a hidden one in my “city” (a bunch of server “skyscrapers”) that plays K.K. Cruisin’, and one hidden behind my outdoor café that plays Animal City.
At the moment I do, in fact all over my island. I have plans to change some things eventually but they’re staying for now. I have some stereos by this area I built that is based on the Crossroads in Dragon Age Inquisition. I have one by my Tavern that is loosely based on the one in One Piece (Party’s Bar). Another by the Chantry (Dragon Age inspired church like area). Just to name a few . I use them to try to help get the right mood/vibe set for the area.
I've never tried using outdoor music players on my island, since I'm fine with the hourly soundtrack, plus I would struggle trying to make them work with my island. I definitely commend those people who are able to utilize them well on their islands!
I have a few for different areas to give a certain spot an ambient theme. But it's kind of annoying that I have to place like 5-10 down in a certain spot so that they hourly music can shut up for one second so I can hear it. It's so weird and jarring how it's trying to fight to be heard even when I'm as close as I can be to the music pieces.
I do! I have a couple areas with them. I have one that is a 50s dinner, and it has Rockin’ K.K. playing. Then I have two lily players in my French outdoor bistro area that are playing Café K.K. I have gyroids that are dancing nearrrr….a music player somewhere else that I forget what it’s playing.
