How do you use storage?

I can’t figure out how to get stuff into my storage in my house?

Display something, go to designer mode, then there's a button you press to open storage

Go into your house, go to your inventory, select the item you want put into storage and then click "put in storage"
If you click the right arrow button I believe that's how you open it up and I think down is to open the item placing interface. (I could have these mixed up, but the directions should pop up in the top left corner of the screen while sitting in your house)
