How hard to find Raymond?

Its completly random, the villager that appears is completly random. Unlike the campsite, the air port is completly random, no sorta calculations are usually correct, so you basically just go in, and hope you find him. Like one person said they found him on the second ticket, others on their fiftieth. Its just up to chance. Like how Audie haunts me, and others take lots of tickets to find her.

One thing that might help, is the campsite. If you have no-2 smug villagers, your very likely to find a smug. I was looking for Olivia once, and had no snooties. Then after about two real life days found her. So you could try that

But I've seen him up for trade, and sale alot on here. But also posting in the, Looking for thread, in the, New Neighbor thread, would help. Thats where I got my Raymond. Someone saw my post, and messaged me a week later.

Basically its like rolling the dice, you never know who you are going to get.

Normally the game will send you to villagers that are a different animal or personality than what you currently have. Again this is not a science, total crap shoot.

You need to have a villager moved out, with an empty housing plot. When the sign for an available house says "Plot available" for a villager to take it. Only then will villagers appear on mystery islands.

Also as for Raymond, he's definitely a pain to find. If you happen to have a few cats already on your island though, it definitely helps with your odds whenever you get a cat roll for an island. I had MUCH better success finding (and selling) Raymond when I had 4 or 5 cat villagers already on my island.

Your plot must be empty on your island in order to find villagers.

Cats are the rarest species for me on mystery islands. I've been looking for Kiki and/or Lolly since launch. 500+ tickets so far.

I only have 1 spot left and haven't found either one of them yet. Currently saving up nook miles. Have enough for about 80 tickets right now.

Crazy thing is with me when I was still hunting for Raymond I managed to find Ankha around 562 nmts. Part of me is like "Oh man do I accept her?" but then I just said "No gotta keep going" I knew the game was just teasing me and I should've just adopted her.

i love the cat villagers but it sucks if you're trying to find one in particular while island hopping since there's so many cats. might have a better chance if you have several cats already on your island since it narrows down which ones you could find. personally i've been lucky enough to always find him under 100 tickets.

It took me six months of playing before I found him at the camp site. He was my villager for a few months, but I did not get the hype— I far preferred Marshall, who I actually got very early on in playing. I ended up getting rid of Raymond for a far less popular villager, but one I prefer more. To each his own!

You have to have an open plot for the villagers to appear on the islands

i mean really you have a 1 in like however many villagers there are of getting the one you want, but a lot seem to repeat : (

i’ve been searching for poppy for a while now but no luck, i got raymond from a friend because she found him on an island and knew i wanted him, so she saved him for me
