How have people IRL responded to your enthusiasm for NH?

my roommates think it’s kind of lame but they’re happy for me haha and my fianc? doesn’t mind I already told him I’m forcing him to play with me when the game comes out

i don't usually talk about my gaming habits with my friends because none of them are interested in that and i think they think it's a bit cringy or something, but my family knows i'm really excited. i don't think they really understand why i'd be excited about a slow-paced, lowkey game like this (i usually play mmos) but they know it's really effecting me since i'm actively cleaning my room so it's not nasty when acnh comes out lol

Most of my IRL friends also play video games and are at least aware of my love for Animal Crossing. I've had several friends tell me that they accept they won't see me for a year once New Horizons comes out, haha.
