I've seen so many great towns and I have all of my dreamies but I don't want to start construction until I have several PWPs.
How long did it take you and what was your method?
I talked to my villagers A LOT, and played a LOT, so I didn't have to work extra hard on most of the PWP's. There were maybe 2 or 3 specific Fairytale-themed ones that I wanted, that I had to work for a bit.
I just did the swimming trick. SO you find out which villager is responsible for asking for the particular PWP you want. Make sure they are outside at the time, and that you know where they are. Empty your pockets, so they won't ping to ask you for anything in your pocket. Then go float in the ocean for 5 minutes. You don't even have to swim around, just float. Then come up, duck behind buildings if you have to, avoid everyone else, til you get to the specific villager. Hopefully they will ping, hopefully it'll be about the PWP you want. If not, repeat all.
BTW, I think they can only request one a day. SO if they request something you don't want, try resetting (if you're into that kinda thing). Or else, just try the next day.
I still don't have all the PWPs I want, however I did manage to get the 4 remaining cranky PWPs in a row doing the swimming trick.
However, I filled up my pockets with flowers + used the megaphone to find the specific villager I was looking for. I found that calling their name made them most likely to ping once I found them.
The swimming trick does wonders, but it's tedious. I just kind of gave up. But I finally built the second-to-last pwp that I wanted yesterday, the instrument shelter. Apart from the flower arch, I only need the topiaries, but I have to wait until Weeding day for that since I missed this year's. :c
I personally don't even know what I want with PWPs. I wish I had a vision for my town like a lot of other people do...
At any rate, I would agree, the swimming trick is nice but it is a hassle. My advice is if you want to fill up your pockets (so as to avoid any other kind of ping encounters), use your bells! It's the most convenient way!
Took me a week or so to get all the PWPs I wanted using the swimming trick! Got all the Zen stuff quick crankies tend to ping alot...but took me FOREVER to get all the Uchi requests lol
At one point, thanks to time travelling I got about 5 projects a day for a week. It took me 2 days to get the illuminated clock and I'm still looking for the rest of the illuminated pwps
I still haven't gotten all of the ones I want, but I really only care about getting the flower arch right now. :3 I try the diving trick all the time but it's really annoying and almost 90% of the time they just want a new catchphrase.
I don't have them all, yet. Pretty much the only reason I'm keeping Frita around is so I can try getting as many Uchi PWPs as I can out of her, but she's really stubborn.
I think I've got most of the PWPs that I want in 2 months~ No TT. I just need Uchi PWPs and a few Snooty PWPs but Mira or Gloria just doesn't suggest anything. ;A; also need the Lighthouse and Balloon arc and I'm pretty much good to go. I tried the diving trick but it's pretty random sometimes they suggest and most of the time they don't. >.> but there are times that they do suggest out of the blue without having to do anything. LOL
No too long. I did the swimming trick and trapped the ones I wanted requests from in holes, and luckily, I have Rhonda and Bubbles who requested the fairy tale stuff. Now I just need Vic, Bob, Charlise/Diva, and Blanche to request!!
