How long do you spend designing?

Depends on what I'm designing. Victoria's house, for example, was really uninspiring to me because she just wanted everything yellow so I just threw some stuff in her house and called it good. Other houses I've designed have offered better new items though, so I take ~30 mins on each one, sometimes more

That depends... Sometimes 30 minutes, sometimes 45 or sometimes 50 i like to mke good houses and buildings.

I spend anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour designing homes. Already I've designed 61 homes. Many of which were done from early Sunday morning to Sunday afternoon. I had stayed up all night playing it, and had logged about 14 or 15 hours by the time I realized.

i only got the game yesterday but out of the houses i've designed so far i'd say about 20 minutes. that includes the school which was truly uninspiring

It depends if I like the theme or not. I could take anywhere between 15-45 minutes per house. I take much longer on the shops though. The office took me over an hour to complete.

I typically spend 20 minutes on the yard and then a while in the house, depending on the amount of rooms.
I spend around 1-3 hours on facilities because I'm really picky.

My time and quality declined pretty rapidly as time went on. Sometimes it's an utter lack of inspiration, other times I didn't get enough new items to work with to make the house/yard work like I envisioned.

I hate to say that now a lot of the houses I do fit into one or both of those categories. =( I think this game is great, but I'm so used to the intricacies of designing in The Sims series that I find it hard to work with what we have in AC (even though it got a little more intricate in this game).

10-30 minutes, usually 20-30. Facilities took me 40 minutes to an hour. (My town is now complete. :3 )

I just got it today, and all of the houses I've designed have been around ten minutes each I'd say. But I think that they'll take longer as I progress.

I skipped through a lot, just to get everything. I basic did the houses.
So once I get most items/unlockable things, old go back and fully pimp out my town and houses.

If I'm feeling totally uninspired, just a few minutes doing the basics, with the intention of going back later on. Otherwise about 20-30 minutes on average I think, although facilities take longer.
