I'm thinking of taking a small break from animal crossing (in reality, I'm feeling a little burnt out aa). I'm curious to know how long you guys were gone! I'm likely going to take a one month break TOPS, maybe less if I feel like coming back sooner :)

I haven’t taken a hiatus from NH yet since I just got the game at end of May, but I took a break from NL and hadn’t come back from that if that counts (along with the forums). That was five or four years ago, I think. I’d have to look at some of my old posts to be sure.

Understandable. I hope you feel better once you take a break. :)

i haven't played actively since june lol, dunno when ill be back now that lifes starting back up

With New Leaf I've had hiatuses that have lasted two years before. But I've not had a hiatus for NH yet. I'm worried since my pattern tends to be I lose interest in the game for months, then come back and restart the entire thing. It's hard to complete anything that way lol

I haven't taken an actual hiatus from ACNH yet. My hiatus with New Leaf was about three years before the release of ACNH. That long of an AC break really gave me the drive to grind NH (plus with the combination of quarantine which also helped in wanting to play a ton of ACNH tbh)

I hadn’t played ACNH for two months when the fair started. Friends of Mineral Town was soaking up all my time!

I've basically played ACNH every day since launch, however the hours have been dwindled to basically just online trading. If I did ever take a hiatus, I'm not positive I'd come back. Once I'm done with a game, I usually don't go back, with some exceptions.

one day. I was extremely busy lol. Felt kinda good to break outta the flow...

if you're burnt out then maybe just a week or two could help. if you feel like you need to get away from it for a whole month, tho, then by all means go ahead. this game can easily burn you out. Though I have found that remolding areas can help you get into it a little more, even if it's just chopping down some trees or making a new waterfall. :lemon:

On day 157, or is it 158? However many days it's been out, and without time traveling, I've taken that many days minus itself off the game.

The duration of this fair. I pretty much just go on to participate in the events, but I haven't been working on my island. The fair is keeping me plenty busy.

i took about 2 weeks off last month and my play time cut down significantly from when i first started (launch) and it honestly did wonders for me personally. i was heading nowhere with my island in terms of design/layout and everything was just annoying to me prior to my break/cutting down play time. since i came back from it i've accomplished so many things in terms of game play as well as decorating my island the way i want it. all in all it's been rly nice and i'm glad i took a break from the game.

if you do decide to go through with taking a break, i hope you have a good one! come back later when you're ready again ^^

I have played ACNH everyday except for 2 days maybe (different times). From ACNL to ACNH, it was definitely a couple of years.

I've played every day since launch. The amount of time each day has dropped considerably, now that the major pieces of my design are in place. But I'm still enjoying checking in.

If you've burnt out, definitely take a break. No game, hobby, or activity is worth your peace of mind.

My hiatus was between New Leaf and New Horizons - 6 months. I've played NH every day since its release. I haven't missed one day.

I haven't taken a break from New Horizons since it came out. However, I did go roughly 5 years between when I last played New Leaf and when I started New Horizons.

The longest for NH so far has been 3 days, as I was binge watching Black Clover at the time. I only booted up the game to check visiting NPCs, but didn't play much beyond that. It's good to give yourself a break once in a while to do something else and come back to the game feeling more refresh and ready to take on any task.

Plus, if there's no update for September, it's definitely the best time to take a hiatus before the Halloween update in October.

I’ve only missed one day at the most when I was too tired from work to play. I adore this game so much. I am not TT and I haven’t gotten bored at all!!
