I've been thinking. The original Animal Crossing had 15 total villagers in a village. Wild World only had 8, likely due to hardware limitations. However, City Folk only increased this to 10, shy of the original game, and New Leaf kept this limit intact.
So this got me thinking, how many villagers are we likely to see in New Horizons? I wouldn't mind the original 15 limit since it would allow use to still have dreamies and have a few rotating slots....or even more of our dreamies. However, considering that NH takes place on a deserted island, it makes me think the overall limit could stay at just 10, or possibly less to give that feeling of being close with the people you are "stuck" on the island with.
That said, the Switch is more powerful than any previous console hosting the series, so I would think we could easily have at least 15. Personally I would like to see us return to the original 15, heck even 20 would be great for me, but for some reason I feel like we are going to end up with 12 in NH.
Thoughts?
