How often are new items added to the shop?

Just as the title says....
should I expect to see new collectibles every... month? random?

the birthstone changes each month, and the flowers change every two months (next change for those = November 1st). otherwise, on only very isolated occasions does the shop have anything new. For the most part, the "'sold out" items are considered slightly to extremely rare and may only restock once a year (in June the last two years).

several times a year, though, there will be special events, and then a special event shop tab will be temporarily added selling new collectibles unique to that event...
