How to get notifications through email?

I heard from someone else on TBT that they getteir notifications through email. I would like to know how to do this, because I use TBT on a smartphone and, since te website doesn't load very well on here, it would be easier if I could check my notifications through my email.

Is there any way to do this? Thanks

I'm on mobile too and use email notifications to keep track of things here, I was so glad to discover it!

Look at the taskbar above your post in this thread - Thread Tools, Search Thread, Rate This Thread, Display are 4 clickable drop down boxes on the right hand side for me. You need Thread Tools. "Subscribe to this Thread" takes you to a screen where you choose how to be notified (control panel here, or email). Email has multiple options from instant to weekly.

That actually helps a lot! Does this also apply to personal messages? I have someone whom I have a hard time keeping in contact with, because he is only on at night and I am usually only on during the day. That would also help.

Yes, this does! At the top of the site, go to Settings. Then, from there, on the left under My Account (you will have to scroll down a bit to get there), go to the General Settings. On that page, scroll down until you get down to where it says Private Messaging, and under that section you can choose if you want to get email notifications of private messages or not (it's in the "Email Notification of New Private Messages" part).
