why do villagers sometimes take over the last person's house and sometimes get their own exterior? i want to obtain specific villagers with their correct house exteriors. how can i avoid my old villagers' exteriors staying?

I think they fixed the glitch.
I used to get it all the time, and I learned it was because of time traveling. Don’t travel backwards if you are having a new villager. Just in case.
