How wide do you make your paths?

I make my main paths 2 wide, but when they’re natural paths in foresty aress they can be anywhere from 1 wide to 4 wide.

I think two tiles wide is the most common, because three is too big and one is so small it feels cramped.

2, unless it's in front of a 3-space opening like the secret beach, the museum and Nook's Cranny.

Usually two wide for main paths that are traveled on and one wide for little senic areas like my trail through the bamboo Grove on my last island before I reset

I usually do two wide for the walking paths. However, I have several larger areas of displays that are filled in that are about 10x10 spaces placed throughout my town. Then the 2-wide paths connect them. I find it makes more space for planting trees.

I use 2 wide for "most" paths throughout most of my island. I did 3 wide for the main path up through my residential area as it felt right (and also it fit better as an access to the beach).

i’ve always done 2 wide (even in new leaf), and i’m currently using a transparent floral custom path! i only use custom designs for my paths, as i’m not really a huge fan of the game’s default ones.

The only paths I have, which are very few, are 1 wide. And that is in my bamboo grove, in the orchard to help keep the trees spaced, and at the shops. I have a bit of a big path spot, 4 wide, where you come out of the air port, as a 'gate' to the island. I use paths for the garden, and as worn spots at the bridges, at every villager door, outside of the shops and museum, and I have a side walk for my own home that has a front and side yard. I also put a path as a worn spot in front of my mailbox. I use paths for my town square extension, at the wishing well, and two hot springs at the waterfalls, and the one in process cafe that is by the towns.

I always do 2 wide so that it line ups nicely with the bridges and such. Sometimes I wish I could do 3 or 4 wide but I never really found a good solution so that the line up with everything else still looks fine. Besides I have to keep an eye on the space, if the path is too big then I'm missing space for the villager houses etc. which kinda sucks. So I guess I will stuck with 2 wide for now.

I mostly do two, but I have seen a few orchard designs recently where paths are three spaces wide and I really like the look of it. I am working on an orchard and I might try this.

I have 3 wide started at the entrance of my 2nd island and 4 for the main path from the airport to the plaza. I'm still laying the path, so I'll probably stay in the 2-3 range, with 1 being for "beaten paths".
