How will the graphics look like in the next animal crossing game?

It's a new generation of Animal Crossing, so it will have a new graphical style and engine. As to what it will look like, one can only guess.

If they take a the full resolution New Leaf graphics used in Pocket Camp, then there will be some backlash. The graphics in that game is about as plain and boring to look at as they come. They weren't meant to be viewed at resolutions higher than 240p.

Since its on the switch it might be a big step up from what is on the 3ds im hoping itll look great

I expect nothing less than to look ATLEAST better then NLs graphics. Possibly even a tad better then pocket camp's.

I would love a similar style like open world too, it'd be new and I think it'd be absolutely stunning.
What do you think about the MarioKart 8 AC track? Would you like AC switch to look similar?

This. Please, please PLEASE this. I keep playing that track, just to stare at the scenery while drooling. I don?t think it?d quite be the view point that you get from Mario Kart, but the way the sky looks, and the trees, and I?m just gonna keep rambling about things people already know about here, so disregard me.

But I imagine it will look quite lovely.

Ooh the MK8 track looks absolutely beautiful! It would be interesting if they made it similar to that, it'd definitely be a huge step up for the franchise and would totally match the hype everyone is feeling. I think if it just stayed the same as NL, it may disappoint a lot of people who were so excited for the new game.

I really hope it'll still look cartooney, Pocket Camp quality but nothing too realistic. I don't think I'd like that at all..

The Switch is an HD console, so I'm expecting HD graphics like MK8 or better. I hope it looks nothing like Pocket Camp, because Pocket Camp is a mobile game. That said, as long as the game is good, graphics probably won't bother me too much if they do end up being toned down.

Style wise, I really like ACs art. So changing it majorly would be very odd.
Maybe a higher scaled PC, but something overly realistic would look off in my opinion.

I don't think Nintendo has any intention of changing ACs style. I can imagine they do something similar to the AC track on MK8, maybe even a little toned down. Either way they will only be improving on the visuals and I trust that they can retain the AC feel even if it was to be realistic.

I'd love something like the Mario kart course but I somehow feel like that's not going to happen.

I'd love stuff like pocket camp as it's so much more detailed as they've become more creative with stuff like PWPs. I'd love if the whole game just became more details, as I love running around and spotting new details no matter how small. I think stuff like that appeals to be more than anything huge graphic updates.

Focus in the little details

I agree, why change what works?

Everything in that DLC track is way oversized, made me feel like i was driving in a village giant animals >.>

I agree. I also think they definitely could make a HUGE improvement on the graphical design on the Switch still, I mean the style on PC makes sense since it's a mobile game and anything else would only make us expect more from the Switch version. It's better than NL by a long shot, but also not so new to the point where it gives away the possibility of a more realistic-looking game. They may just surprise us since the Switch version will be the best AC game to-date.
Also, in ACGC they had a mechanic to connect a Gameboy to the console and interact on the island in a 2D format, completely different from the main game. So it's highly possible that PC could be the "2D Gameboy AC" version to the Switch in comparison to the visual appearance.

I'm going to assume that the size of the town will stay relatively the same, though I wish they would expand it to be as big as the town was on AC:GCN. And as for the graphics themselves, I assume it will look a lot like Pocket Camp, though part of me hopes that the game can compare graphically to that awesome AC track on Mario Kart 8!

I highly doubt that everything will be that big in AC Switch lol

*Giggle* I know that, it’s one thing for it to be big, but it was WAY oversized, I know why it’s like that as it's so you could see everything better as you were driving around on the track (essentially it was scaled uptempth)
