I can't choose between Elvis or Static…

Do you ever feel like this with other Villagers? The other 9 spots are already taken so… If i keep A, i can't add B still, i would like to have A in my island but B too and i just can have 1 of them…

Anyone else?

Do you have the cards for both? If so, you can easily try out both villagers. If you’re not feeling one, just swap him out for the other. Finding either of these villagers shouldn’t be too hard if you want to try them both. I prefer Static of the two mentioned.

Yea I feel like that about villagers all the time. I like Static more I have him on my second island. Mostly recently I was trying to choose between Drift and Ace . Ended up choosing Drift.

That’s unfortunate. Still, I don’t think finding either of them should be too difficult. You should be able to try them both out and decide which villager you prefer. The hardest part would be kicking them out in order to swap them for the other.

Personally, I prefer Static. I like his design and purple’s always been my favorite color.

I've had both villagers previously. I liked them both.

If you like a rugged lion king, then Elvis would be great. If you prefer a rock star squirrel, then Static is the better choice.

But looking at your signature, you already have Elvis in your island (assuming Zenda Island is current).

Yeah, i already have Elvis but i was thinking in change him for Static. I just didn't know what to choose. If i should keep the Elvis or go for Static.

I have felt that way on so many occasions! I really want to try Shino out, but I don't want to give up my current villagers.

Between Static and Elvis, I'll go with the unpopular opinion of preferring Elvis. He was one of my best buds in City Folk.

I know the feeling. For me it was between Curt and Barold. I knew I wanted one of these but it was hard to narrow it down. I wanted just one bear in my town, since I wanted them all to be different species. I initially had Barold on my town, but decided to switch him out. Later I brought Curt over and moved Barold out. I thought I had made up my mind and I had him for a couple of months, but I realized I liked having Barold more than I liked having Curt. I switched them back recently and I I don’t think I’ll be bringing Curt back. He was cute, but Barold has my heart. I think it’s easier making the decision by trying them out first.

I suggest maybe inviting one over, and then the other as well. You’ll get a feeling of which one you prefer that way, and which ones have nicer interactions.

I liked Static a lot more in the old games. I enjoy the cranky dialogue in this game, but I think he’s one of the villagers it really doesn’t fit. I decorated for him on HHP and I couldn’t shake that feeling. Maybe that irony makes it more fun though. I‘ve never had Elvis so if I had to choose for myself, I’d invite him, just to try something new. He seems kinda cool though.

I’m definitely having this dilemma lately and it’s between different personalities and stuff too. I’m revamping the villager lineup on my island, dunno if it’s because I got bored of the same old same old but there are little things that bug me about my current villagers. For example I don’t really like Drago’s default shirt and he just wears it too often so I’m tired of it. So I want to replace him with Zucker. I want to try having Keaton because he seems cool and underrated and I like birds. I also want Phoebe on my island so they’d be a nice pair plus smugs and sisterlies are my favorite personalities and I’m setting myself up to have two of each (Marshal/Keaton, Phoebe/Reneigh).

The biggest dilemma I had recently was probably between Leonardo and Dom. Leonardo is like a bestie but I want Dom bad and I just didn’t have enough room without booting another loved villager. In the end I’ve made the decision to go for Dom, replaced Rasher as my cranky with Groucho who while not the same has some pretty similar traits to Leonardo. Once I accepted that I got pretty excited about Groucho so I guess it was a case of limitations giving me creativity- Rasher’s rockabilly style was just kind of “there” on my island anyway, Groucho will take over a lot of Leonardo’s old duties so he’ll have more purpose.
Greedy as it is I still wish we had 2 or 4 more villager slots, I’m still eschewing other villagers I like. There is no “perfect lineup” and I keep comparing it to Pokémon in my head, where having “no perfect lineup” is more exciting, it’s more irritating and kinda feels impersonal changing your villagers out!
