I knew it was a possibility but I went for so long with no issues that I almost felt like it wouldn't happen but here we are. My anxiety is through the roof. Does anyone wanna offer some advice or reassurance? My symptoms are super mild and I am stable. Just really stressed out because I'm missing work and afraid to get people sick in my home!!

well no vaccine is 100% effective. I'm fully vaccinated but I still wear a mask in public and sanitize a lot (mostly for my mom's sake cause she gets sick easily and won't get the vaccine). even then there's a small chance of getting it.

if you're having mild symptoms and no complications then that's great. I've never had it before but I would say treat it like influenza: stay in bed (don't overdo it), keep your distance from others, stay hydrated, check your temp regularly to make sure it doesn't go too high, etc. I'll be hoping for a speedy recovery! 🤞

Thank you. I tried my best to stay clean and cautious. I wear my mask and washed my hands to the point of dry skin but I know you can't always beat an illness or virus. I guess a tiny part of me just started to believe I was gonna safe from it. I appreciate your comment though, more than anything my anxiety was just triggered by the thought of having it I think. Just talking it out helps a bit so thank you! I'm gonna try to just stay calm and take care of myself while it's here.

Saw this and also wanted to point out a positive- after you recover, you'll have even more protection, vax and natural immunity boost combo. You might be able to feel less anxious about the whole situation then. I hope you feel better soon.

Thank you, I appreciate that! I could hope I'll be more resistant afterwards. It'll be the only good thing about this.

Your mission is now to relax and get better. No reasonable person is going to blame you for keeping your distance and taking this time off. You can take this time to take care of yourself mentally. spiritually, and physically. You got this!
My son who tested positive was very energetic and back to his old self in 2 days, so it was us dealing with a hyper quarantined 4yo for a week, lol. Don't fret over what has already happened. You can make it through!

Thank you for this, I appreciate it. I'm trying to just chill out and do what I normally do when I'm not at work. I'm usually a social person so talking about it and playing games is helping a bit. I'm sure I'll recover fine, my mind is just running wild is all. I really appreciate the wishes and the advice I've received so far from people. Thanks for this :)

Just look after yourself and those near you! Wear masks and above all, ventilate! Open windows, etc. If possible, stay in your room and use a different bathroom!

You should probably experience very minor symptoms since you were vaccinated. Also, and as far as I know, you are less likely to infect other people bc you were vaccinated (and even less if the people at home are also vaccinated).

That's good to know, thank you for the advice. I will definitely take precautions. My room is already relatively far from everyone else's, I'm actually on a different floor so that probably helps. The weather is nice here so I'll definitely open a window while I'm at it. Thank you for the advice and reassurance!! I already feel better after talking to so many people about this. I wasn't doing well sitting around by myself and just thinking about the situation, especially after waiting anxiously for 3 days to get results lol

Get better soon! ;w;

I've never had COVID (I don't think so anyways?). However, my little brother has had it or has the antibodies for it (he was exposed to someone with it when he was in school and had to quarantine TWICE), so... I think it's possible I've had it at one point...? Because I live with him? But I never felt sick... so.. I'm also vaccinated so I don't know ;;

I think you won't experience a whole lot of symptoms since you're vaccinated, I've heard this somewhere. However I suppose it's different for everybody ;w; Make sure to take care of yourself! <3

I know there's not much you can do except let it run it's course, but do self-care things! Maybe take a nice hot shower and drink a cool glass of orange juice. That's what I'd do!

I understand what you're going through... I've unfortunately had Covid, before the vaccine was even released. Thankfully, I've survived through it, and because you are fully vaccinated, you gave yourself the best chance to do the same. 👏🏼 You're symptoms should be milder, and yes, you'll build antibodies from this. I'll pray that you'll recover soon, and for your peace of mind. Just continue to rest & relax as much as you can through this time. Catch up on games at this time... 😏 Take care & stay safe.

Thank you so much for the sweet advice. I appreciate you taking the time to comment! I took some time to myself today, I napped, and read some books and played games to just completely take my mind off of it. I appreciate everyone trying to help keep me from freaking out lol

Thank you for the kind words, I appreciate it and I'm glad that you've gotten through it and recovered. It's horrible how the world and people have been affected by it. I've spent the day just trying to remove myself from my anxious thoughts and taking care of myself. I hope you remain well and healthy!

Oh no! About a year ago I also had COVID, and I just gotta say the long term effects don't happen to everyone, but if you get some, I can sympathize and always will be here to talk. Rest up and drink some tea 🍵

Is your taste gone?

When you're fully vaccinated and you still test positive for Covid-19 your body is well prepared to fight back. So you may have mild symptoms but at least they are not severe to get you into the hospital. Stay at home and don't go anywhere until you feel better. Vaccines are design to make you feel not so sick severally. Its nothing to worry about. Take care of yourself and make sure you try to avoid large crowds next time when you go out.

My mom tested positive a few months back and she was fully vaccinated, but she had very mild symptoms and it honestly just seemed like she had a cold. She lost her sense of smell but it came back within a few days. The rest of the family never had any symptoms so we didn't get tested, so we were either asymptomatic or never caught it. I also think the vaccine definitely helps as the point isn't really to stop you from catching it but to make the chances of it being severe much lower. I hope you feel better soon!

Like everyone else here is saying, you being fully vaccinated is a good thing in this case, since your symptoms and likeliness of spreading the virus to others are much lower. Still though, make sure to get plenty of rest and to take care of yourself! I've never gotten covid but I can imagine this being stressful

i’m so sorry to hear this; i can only imagine how stressed and scared you must be feeling right now. i know the fact that you’re missing work and that you don’t want to get others sick is making everything feel worse, but try to go easy on yourself and rest as much as you can. i’m glad that your symptoms are mild, and i really hope you feel better soon. hang in there. 🧡

I don't have any knowledge/wisdom for this but just wanted to say not to feel too down on yourself, you took proper precautions and got the vaccine! Even though you still got it, things could've been a lot worse if you weren't vaccinated so I'd feel grateful you were able to get it in time. Sounds like you're starting to feel better now which is awesome. Anyways, there's lots of people here who are willing to give you advice and support. I can't do much but if you need anything I'll try my best. :lemon:

If everyone in your household is vaccinated then try not to worry about it - but still keep your distance from family members as far as possible. The vaccine loses effectiveness over time, and one of the main reasons the vaccine isn't fully effective is because the pathogen is capable of mutating within immunocompromised hosts - hence the different variations that now exist. The vaccines were designed to target the original Wuhan strain of the coronavirus. You've likely caught one of the later variants (e.g. alpha, beta, delta, etc). You will experience milder symptoms because your immune system was able to create antibodies specific to SARS-CoV-2 antigens much more quickly than someone who has not had any prior exposure to the virus. You're going to be okay, so instead of stressing try to think of it like any other illness that causes you to take time off work. Take it as a free pass to lie in bed all day and catch up on gaming, TV series, books, etc.

aw, sending you my best wishes! what you can do now is make sure to eat healthy and stay hydrated, hopefully because of the vaccine you wont have a rough time!
