I wouldn't be surprised if it was $5-10 for 1,000 tbt. If it was $1, someone could easily donate $10 and get to 10k, and it's supposed to be much harder to obtain 10k than that.

they have. it was just meant as a joke, but in all seriousness I think charging a premium for tbt is a bad idea. People will easily game the system just because they have a few dollars to throw around.

iirc before tbt to rlc was banned, I saw a lot of people selling collectibles at a rate of $1 = 100 TBT, so somewhere around there maybe

Don't please. They already banned buying stuff with rlc/rlc items and we don't need it back. That time should be stuffed away in a box and never be opened.

Just for the sake of the thought exercise, I was looking at for how much people are selling amiibo cards of certain villagers for and comparing that to how many TBT they go for here. I came up with 1 TBT being about 2 USD but thats just one way to think about it haha
