If you had a free username change, would you use it?

I've actually been wondering this for a while, because I know there are probably quite a few people here who would like to change their username but can't due to lack of funds.

So if you were given a free username change, would you go for it? And if so, what would you change it to? If not, why?
(I'm talking about at this moment. I'm not worried about if you've already changed your username, just consider in this moment if you would change it or not.)


I personally wouldn't change mine. I've had my user for a long time and I use it on a lot of different platforms. Not only that, but I really like my username so I would be more than happy to leave it as is. I think, possibly, the only thing I would change is to take the x's off the ends (maybe just Super Mario 64 but idk, that doesn't seem like much of a username).

No real point, and changing names all the time only leads to confusion for others. But minor stuff such as capitalisation I'd be up for changing if I desired (which I don't) since that shouldn't lead to any confusion.

This is a username I'm using/have used on many other platforms, and I've become quite attached to it! It has multiple meanings for me and really feels like 'my' username. I'm quite baffled when I find out that somebody has already taken it when I get to a new website/app/etc.

Nah, I changed it to this a few years ago, and I still like it.
Now if only I could change my username over to Cress on Smashboards since someone took the name over 10 years ago, made like 5 posts and then never came back.

I'm happy with my current name, but to be honest, I would change it if I would get the
chance to get that one name I wanted from the beginning. However, it's being taken by
a inactive account.

I really wish the staff would sort out all those inactive accounts and would give the names
free again so that others could use them...

Hmm probably? I don't usually like my usernames lowercase, but this was one of the first times I've signed up on a forum, and for some reason I assumed that I couldn't have uppercase letters or spaces LOL. Almost all my other usernames/gamertags are "HoneymoonRoyale" (long story), but honeyaura has grown on me. However, I'd maybe want something along the lines of Honey Aura, etc? Maybe one day if I can afford it lol.

Yes, I would change it. I’ve actually started considering changing it back to a username I had in the past on this site, but the problem is it is taken by an inactive user (that’s what I get for changing it so often, lmao). I guess I could probably get around it by just changing one or a couple things about the username, but I don’t feel like doing that, and also I’ve only had this username for less than a year, so probably best I keep it as is for now to avoid any more confusion (I’ve changed my username four times in the past already, which makes it difficult for people to know who I am).

Definitely! I've been trying to earn a username change for the longest time. I'm kinda used to forums having the option to change it every 60 (ish?) days.

On that note, the shops in my signature are still open if you're interested!

No thank you. I've always used Rosered for such a long time. My mom was actually the one who gave me that username to use, so that's why I'm fond of it and will probably never change.
