If you were born in 2000...

I decided to make a thread dedicated to interesting facts. But here’s the catch. All facts in this thread have to be about what it’s like to be born in 2000. As you know, a lot of time has passed by. Many of us 90’s kids and 80’s kids remember what life was like when we were kids. But now, several people that aren’t old enough to remember all that are now 20 years old or are turning 20. So I decided to make a thread dedicated to these facts.

Rules:

• You must post between 1 to 5 facts about what being born in 2000 is like. You may talk about what they missed that you experienced (if you were born prior to 2000).
• All posts must start with “If you were born in 2000...”.
• Do not put in connections (i.e. “when I was your age”). Write it as if an anonymous person written it.

If you’re born in 2000...

• The PS2 came out when you were born, the PS3 came out when you were in the first grade, and the PS4 came out during your last year in middle school.
• You would be too young to remember when Pokémon just had 151 species (or even 251 species).
• SpongeBob Squarepants (the TV show) is older than you.
• You were born in the same year election maps began associating Republicans with red and Democrats with blue.
• You would be too young to remember Windows XP.
