If you were stuck in one state all year long...

Somewhere in New England. My family wants to move to New Hampshire, so I'll just go with that. New England gets true four seasons and has far less severe thunderstorms/tornadoes than where I live. New England is politically left and isn't hardcore religious (I know it's not paradise and still has problems on both counts, I get it. But I live in Oklahoma. A state that every. single. county. voted for Trump.).

I want to go now. Where I live is just making me depressed and I don't need anymore of that.

Anywhere but Oklahoma.

Amen to that. I'm so done with Oklahoma. We never get snow anymore (at least not in NE Oklahoma) and spend the entire Spring taking cover from tornadoes. I'm so done. Even though it's December I'm already scared thinking of Spring coming.

Possibly California becouse of Disneyland.
Definitely not Disney world becouse it's in Florida and I do not like Florida that much
(Never went out of my country)

I would stay in Alaska. There’d be lots of places to visit, the cool climate is right up my alley, and it’s remote! The only issue would be having to fly everywhere.

hmm,, i would likely travel to nevada (more specifically, las vegas). a close friend of mine lives there and i’d love to be able to see them; being limited to a year would sort of suck but anything’s better than nothing, i suppose c’:

I would say, Colorado. I love the mountains, and colorado has tons of them, as well as lots of things to do as well!

Either California or Georgia.

Both places I find to be absolutely beautiful (for Cali, mianly northern counties) and has much better weather than it is here.. way too hot. Definitely don't want to live in an oven the whole time.

Probably California for me bc all of my family and a lot of my friends are there and I only go home once or twice a year so I get homesick and would love to be back for a long period 😭

I'd rather not get stuck anywhere in the US, the current situation there sounds so bad. Sorry guys.

That said, the state of Washington looks beautiful in terms of scenery but I don't know how bad it is right now compared to others. I could always just live in a remote cabin in the middle of the woods if I didn't like it, I guess.

That’s pretty interesting. Because Oklahoma is also the only state that no county voted for Obama in either election (as well as John Kerry in 2004).

For states I don’t want to be in all year, it would be any of the western states, especially with how bad fire seasons have gotten. It would be nice visiting during the spring, but not the fall.

California!

Besides the weather conditions (droughts, wildfires), I feel like there would be a lot to do in the state, and a lot to offer. The theme parks and beaches are particularly big draws for me. As a person of colour and non-American, I also have the impression that (at least parts of the state) are fairly welcoming and tolerant. I wouldn't want to live in a state where I wouldn't feel welcome.

I also have some family in California as well, so I guess it would be nice to visit.

I don't really have a desire to live in the US for a multitude of reasons, but with all the money in the world, I suppose it'd be easy to deal with some of those issues (including high healthcare costs).

Oklahoma would vote for the devil if he had an R next to his name.

It was really disappointing when it happened pre-2016, but Trump is super nasty and for this state to have every single county vote for him truthfully soured my opinion on the state completely. I can't take it anymore. The majority of the people in the state have no values, no standards, no morals, no nothing.

I lived on Oahu for 3 years. It was great. I would not mind going back. It's expensive to live there, but it's beautiful year round.

If I had to pick a state I've never been to, maybe something like Wyoming. The winter would be annoying because I hate snow, but it would be interesting to be somewhere so different and surrounded by lots of nature.

Maybe Hawaii. Its weather is most like the type I already experience, might be hotter but oh well. Hawaii is very pretty, even with risk of hurricanes or volcanoes. Any other state (besides Florida) snows and I am not down for that.

The risk of hurricanes is actually quite low there. The risk is much higher for any southern state or state on the Atlantic Ocean. And volcanoes are only a problem on Big Island.

Either close to the coast in Oregon or Washington state. I love the forest and mountain areas and how much nature there is along with old growth forests. Greenery and nature are really my thing, and I love rain a lot too.

Well, my answer would've been California if it weren't for the wildfires. It's a vertical enough state that I'd never be too hot or too cold, plus there are so many places to visit all over the state. I'm going to hold off on going until they get the gender reveal parties under control though.

I suppose Washington or New York then. There are enough population centers to satisfy my inner city girl (NYC, Seattle) but also enough interesting scenery to see around the state.

Actually, I think Nevada would also be great! I orginally said that I'd rather get stuck living in California, but man oh man viva Las Vegas too tbf
