Ok, so I've just spent.... hours.. formatting, writing and making headers and such to open an art auction. I clicked on the "Insert Image" (and I was supposed to click the Link one...) and sometimes it likes to eff me over and the actual pop-up doesn't load, it just leaves the screen greyed out and I'm unable to click ANYTHING. Only way it goes away is if I go back and go back forward, or I refresh... But if I do that everything I just did on there will be gone.
If I refresh is there a way to reload from the last Auto-save? I've only seen an option to reload an auto save from something I've written once, so otherwise idk if it let's me or if there's a certain thing I have to click/do to reload it.

In short, is there a way to reload the page and still get my stuff back, or did clicking the wrong thing just make me lose it all for good... ?

Thanks for the help.

Well, your first problem was using the "insert image" option. You'd be way better off uploading to an image host like Imgur or Photobucket and use IMG codes to link the images instead of uploading them directly to the site. You will avoid a whole lot of problems that way, including having to spend bells to attach images.

As for the rest of it, if it isn't in your auto-refill then it's gone. If I'm ever making a big thread like that I tend to write it all out in a notepad file first and then paste it in so next time maybe try doing that. I am sorry if you lost all of your work and I hope my advice helps in the future.

I somehow got saved and when I clicked reload, it said the page had timed out, so when I went back it had all my stuff from the last time I clicked Preview Changes, which luckily wasn't much different from what I currently had.

I do usually just type in the s but sometimes I forget and click the button instead and thne hope it doesn't mess up. I do usually upload it to imgur, then click on it and go to URL then uncheck the thing under it. Though, that is probably a much longer process, lol.

Is there a way to check my auto-refill, or does it only pop up somewhere if I have the option to load it?
And that's probably a good idea. Thanks for the help.
I had taken screenshots of what I had just in case it would go away, to hopefully make it easier on me to remember what I had xD

Anyway, thanks again, and I'll be more cautious next time ~

I was thinking ahead of myself with the auto-reload. That only works with the quick replies I think.

And yeah, as I said before you're better off using an off-site image host. You lose bells by uploading images directly to our forum. But you don't if you use the IMG codes.

Ohh, alright!

I never noticed that, I thought it only took them if you uploaded attachments, that would end up at the bottom of the posts.
Thanks for letting me know that!
