From what I remember from past games, the mafia will be chatting more with themselves on what to post then posting here. They kind of 'filter' what each person says because if one just off flying with accusations on everybody it will make them seem suspicious.

They will pick someone and create and bandwagon towards them. All that has to happen to get the ball rolling on someone is for 1 person to start with dirt on someone. Only this time they only need convince one person who to kill.

I don't know why you're asking me this considering that we've been playing together for several years now my dude, I think you'd have a decent idea on my style by now.

I'll bite though. Generally I like to seek out town leans in the beginning and read players individually. If someone pings me as scummy then I'll usually press on it. Typically though I get burnt out if I survive until day 3 but I'll see to changing that this time around

Anyway, I'm townleaning Volt/Dino for the time being. I like the confidence in Dino's posts so far, and Volt feels like town off my gut rn. Ace has gotten a couple laughs out of me so far so I'd say that he's up there as well.

For example if you say kill this player and I say the same is sheeping.
This applies to most actions.

i would think that probability would mean if everyone always gets mafia or town, they’d probably....not be that ? If that makes sense. But I’m afraid to point fingers this early

after 2 games of people claiming blue when they've been townies to bait claims and wind up seeming guilty/throwing town off, i'm gonna kick this game off by claiming green to prevent that from happening. i'm wario the townie. idk anything about wario (or mario series in general) or why he's townie, but dan said he's in mario 64 ds and playable

What on earth would compel you into thinking that claiming an hour after the game starts is a good idea

Didn't you just say that townies aren't disposable in this version of mafia? There's also the fact that if you're telling the truth, you objectively just made things easier to find the blue roles??

1. i become low hanging fruit for mafia to jump on/start a wagon to make town sus me, i'm eliminated, and my claim is confirmed

some logistics for the start of game:

• watcher and doctor are arguably the most important roles. doctor shouldn't out unless forced to (e.g. sussed by king), watcher shouldn't out unless there's information available (mafia visiting someone -- confirmed mafia kill/rb hitting someone). watcher should be seeking to find doctor and maf for their own knowledge/ability to confirm roles/visits. expect rb to be on both of you if you claim, so don't do so unless necessary
• rb/backup are priority mafia kills
• kings need to avoid killing town at all costs -- vt aren't disposable this game

I agree, there's not enough roles at play in order to willy-nilly claim and hope it creates a game winning PoE through mechanics. So that argument can't be used. Outing for the sake of self pres would be the most likely mistake to occur and subtly softing in interactions with the king is the most that should happen if someone with an important role found a lot of heat EoD.

So yeah +1 to Aerious' thoughts here and you shouldn't out unless your information gets mafia lynched. Which means NOT on day 1 ever.

VT are ideally not disposable in any game but that's especially optimistic for a Kingmaker. Here's to hoping though.

so instead of 1/8 townie shot it's 1/10 (inc blues who haven't claimed). townies aren't as disposable as they are in other games bc it's a win con. you're making a moot point that i don't care to entertain

other players in the last 2 games have claimed blue to reaction test and it's gone horribly. i'm simply preventing that from happening, bc at this point it'd be anti-town to claim blue d1

not underestimating anyone, just trying to avoid the same thing that's happened 2 games in a row and hasn't worked. i'm green anyways, no loss claiming besides vt nk target


questions aren't enough for leans. sidney and fleshy both seem off, but could be biased bc i don't like those who side w/ majority to fly under the radar/appease everyone in mafia. easy mafia trick. everyone is null bc nothing thus far has been incredibly productive imo

Leans are the most we can have that isn't pure null, gotta start a pool from somewhere. Any under the radar read takes time but I don't think there have been enough radars turned on yet to begin with but that's worth keeping in mind with those two. As well as with others but moreso when it comes to the amount of content I'll expect.

Pretty much. My personal definition is that it's blindly following someone or something without pausing to think about it for yourself, being herded by somebody taking the lead.

Used jokingly (...maybe!) in the context I used it in.
