Inviting villagers through a friend's campsite??

Did anyone try inviting an animal to their island using someone else's campsite or is it not an option?
Trying to figure out ways to get the villagers you want faster than just waiting on your own campsite or spending a fortune in nook miles tickets

You couldn't even invite them from another player's camp to your camp?


I'd like this to be an option because it would allow me to help others get their favorites through my amiibos.

None of my friends have animals at their campsite today so I can't test it myself yet but if anyone wants to try, please let us know. For science.

And yeah I'd also like to help people with amibos

I tried them with a friend's amiibo card Kyle. It didn't work, though maybe with non-amiibo villagers? but I doubt it
