IRC Rules and Guidelines
For help using IRC, refer to this thread.
For a while in the IRC we've been lax on guidelines and rules since the opening date. Usually we're asking for people to use common sense and consideration when dealing with issues, but clearly those are undefined. So without further ado, let's talk about some rules and regulations.
Though IRC rules are more open than forum rules, we're still asking for some restraint on you, the users part.
- Respect your fellow chatters, try not to be obscene or obtuse about things that are being discussed. The power of chat is powerful! Opinions are welcomed but be understanding!
- Keep your language relatively clean.
- No links rated above PG. Let's keep things nice and family oriented.
- Aggression isn't tolerated.
- No spamming. Spamming is posting multiple times in a span of minutes. If no one responds, it's usually because people are busy. Sometimes people just aren't online, or away from the computer.
- No ban avoiding. If you're caught, your ban will increase in time.
Moderators reserve the right to kick and in the worst cases, ban users that do not follow the guidelines. The IRC is a privilege, and we're doing our best to keep it friendly and fun for everyone.
