My sweet lil one drew the face she wanted on the pumpkin and I did my best to carve where she had marked.
Carving is tough without the right tools!

did the best I could with what I had on hand, I hope this is acceptable. I was going for a teru teru bozu but it just ended up looking like a ghost pig, lol.
the only pumpkin I had lying around the house

This thing I crocheted is supposed to be a jack-o'-lantern with Wisp hiding inside. I wish I could do a bigger and more detailed version of this, but I've been busy with school lately so alas...

I free-handed this so there are no patterns but here's a reference image of Wisp just in case:

I did a bad job lol but it's my first time carving a pumpkin 😂

It's supposed to be a spiderweb. Made the spider out of pipe cleaners and the captured bug out of modeling clay. Bought one of those carving knives but it snapped in half after three holes. Had to finish with my pocket knife.

Drawing on a pumpkin with a sharpie is hard!

The process- started with spray painting, with mr peaches delaying the project a bit.

Then added paint, which refused to stick to the pumpkin properly. Using the little sponge thingies helped.

Then just used brush tipped sharpies to add the rest. Going over the textured dried paint was so rough, kept messing up. 😂

Just a reminder - this event closes tomorrow at midnight (a little over 24 hours from this post!)

I appreciate all of your hardwork in pumpkin carving and decorating! Carving especially is... harder than expected 😂 It's also fun seeing the pumpkins that you pumpkin-less people craft -- they've been coming out great!

@Mistreil

Would the paper craft pumpkins be accepted? I have looked through the thread and the 2 paper craft pumpkins I saw have not been accepted and awarded the 13 carnival coins. So I am unsure if I should proceed in making a paper one
They all should have been accepted! The reaction might be hidden, though, because there's a limit to the reactions shown -- if you click on the actual list of reactions you should see them.

(But if I did miss someone -- please let me know!)

The reaction was indeed hidden, I didn't realize that they could be hidden.

Thank you for getting back to me! I'll start on the paper craft version of the pumpkin then :3
