Is anyone here going to actually use the local 4 person multiplayer?

I normally wouldn?t be as interested in the feature itself, but I can?t wait to play with my boyfriend and visit each other?s Islands?even though his is going to be a complete disaster based on my standards :p

Maybe. To be completely honest, local co-op had been a dying form to play video games and the Switch has done a lot to bring that back (look at Smash). The fact it is a feature that's being pushed so heavily is great.

I don't know if I'll use it, but I hope families do use this feature. There's no fun like playing video games co-op.

Nope. I'm the only one I know who will be playing this game.
How does the online play work though? Like is it more of visiting an Island or can a player do things to your Island? If they can just visit and not move things around I may do the online.

I don't think so, I don't have anyone around me who could join it, so yeah. Gonna be a solo play for me here.

I absolutely will not be using this feature, because it does look clunky--and my island is my island! That said, I think it is a fantastic inclusion for families with kids (especially if there are multiple children) or just couples who want to play together. It's definitely going to have its uses and I'm really happy for those people who will get to enjoy it! ^^

I won't, because I'm unwilling to share my island haha. The only person I would share it with (bf) wants his own island anyway. It does look a bit clunky to me, not sure if they'll update it to be a smoother experience, but I'm glad they included it. Couch co-op is just too cozy and not enough games support it.

yes. Honestly this is one of the things I've been seriously looking forward too because it means my dad and I can go fishing together. That's something I've wanted in AC since I started playing almost 10 years ago.

I plan on trying it with a 2nd player to see how it works. If you get more items while playing local I'll be using it more.

i will be using it with my friend, its going to be clunky but she doesn't own a switch and cant afford it, so its better then her not being able to play at all. Also this way she can help me design my island and we can make lots of cool friendship memories together haha

Okay now I’m crying

It does look a little clunky, but I?m very happy with it?s inclusion and I will definitely use it. I used to play New Leaf for hours and hours alongside my siblings. They don?t own a Switch and they likely won?t get one because they aren?t huge on it, but it will be nice for them to hop in and play alongside me without having to be too committed!!

no because it looks like to me the more people on your island the less villagers you have and i really dont want any of my family members destroying my island

That’s a fair point. I might have to rethink letting my sisters play if it’s going to prevent me from having villagers. :c
Might have to tell them to just have up for a Switch Lite if they’re so hung up on it!

my friends all have their own consoles, so i'll do local wireless or online! i really don't like how you are forced to follow the leader around and how all of the fish/bug catches have to go into the recycle box in the couch co-op mode LOL but i can see why it would be handy for families!
