I know this is a very old game (like 2000 old), but I just got back into playing Pokemon Stadium (the full story is a long one, so let's talk about the game). What I'm trying to do is to complete the game (which includes beating gym leader castle, stadium mode). I am using only rental pokemon as I try to go through. It appears that this game is really tough, even on Round One. And Round Two is even harder. I wonder if it's possible to beat all of Round 1 and Round 2 with just rental Pokemon. I don't have a transfer pak, so that's why I'm asking.

yeah, but it'll get extremely hard, for the last battle it'll be based mostly on luck. good luck.

Somehow, the RNG in this game can really screw you over, even on Round One (where I'm currently at) with maximized transferred pokemon. And there aren't enough guides on best pokemon to use for each battle. Since I don't play Pokemon enough, I thought it doesn't make sense for "body slam" to paralyze a pokemon when it's not even an electric move.

Back then, games were a lot harder than they are now. I know it's a disappointment that we're only having easier games now (ridiculously easy), but some games in the past were ridiculoulsy hard to where they don't do well in today's world if they made them today. Earlier this year, I dealt with worse before (getting 3 stars in all cups in Mario Kart on 200cc), but the fact that Pokemon Stadium is luck-based, that's more like a casino machine and not a true game.

Another thing different in Pokemon Stadium 1 is the battle stats. Back then, ghost pokemon were not immune to psychic attacks while psychic pokemon takes normal damage from a ghost pokemom. It's not compatible with today's stats.

Hopefully when they release Pokemon Stadium to the virtual console (I don't even know if they will), they can tone down the difficulty. I heard that Pokemon red, yellow, and blue are less glitchy on the 3DS than on the gameboy, so Pokemon Stadium could be easier on the Wii U and NX than on the N64.

Paralysis is not strictly limited to electricity. It is the condition of not being "fixed" in place which can be caused by electricity, strong impacts, or damage to nerves. Not saying that it is completely realistic, but it's the concept that a strong full force body slam can completely disorient (or, in rare cases, actually paralyze you) that makes sense.

Nontheless almost all moves in the series that cause this status are electric type, but you shouldn't think of paralysis as an electric required ailment.

I totally forgot about the stun spore move when I written this move. I was only ridiculed by body slam causing it because it was a normal type move.

I would also like to know which six Pokemon are the best to use for the Poke Cup on Ultra Ball and Master Ball. One of them I know is Kadabra because of its psychic ability.

I don't think there is a "Best pok?mon" to use in Pok?mon Stadium games. I simply just try to clear it with the pok?mon I have chosen and do so.
