Is the harvest series an USA exclusive?

I'm glad Nintendo is letting people know are holidays and cultures but, I just don't like them putting a holiday in the EU and JPN games that doesn't exist over there.

That and they should do it in a better manner. Teach some historical background or something.

Or maybe it's just there to celebrate the bountiful harvests?

Hm... Other countries have it, well, the PAL do, but America should be the only country that gets the Harvest Series. We are the only people that celebrate Thanksgiving. It's not celebrated in the PAL or Japan regions. Though, even on the boxart for other countries it shows Franklin behind the museum.

Well, I like the fact they did it. Makes it that bit easier to get some items instead of talking to people who don't even know your language >_>

The Harvest Festival is too big of a holiday to just be USA only.

Well the harvest festival isnt a real holiday its made for AC it may be on the same day as thanksgiving but its ac's own version it was made for ac ;)

I think this very likely would have been a NA only holiday, except they decided to do a whole furniture set around it. Also, almost every culture has some sort of festival to celebrate the harvest. The fact that it falls on America's Thanksgiving is no reason really to make this North American only.

I mean, if they decided to do a whole furniture set around Bean Day, then I'd be upset that we didn't have it here.

Now if you want to talk about localization or complain that something's missing from the game... take a gander at July and see what's REALLY missing.

The Harvest Festival is Thanksgiving because the main character in it is a Turkey! The reason why the Turkey is named Franklin is because Benjamin Franklin is the one who said that the Turkey is supposed to be America's iconic bird but, the Bald Eagle is the iconic bird instead of the Turkey.

The game making process for Nintendo in 10 easy steps -

1.) Make the American game
2.) Copy and Paste to the JAP and EU ver.
3.) Add more holidays to JAP and EU ver.
4.) Focus on changing the language to JAP in the JAP version
5.) Release JAP version in JAP when finished
6.) Focus on JAP for 6 months
7.) Realize they did not release it in neither US or EU
8.) Release the US ver. in US and EU ver. in EU
9.) Go back on focusing in JAP and release EU and US DLCs every once and awhile
