Is the hype dying?

I feel like the hype for this game is dying because of the lack of information coming from Nintendo. For me, I feel like it's hard to be excited about it because we know so little about this game. I wish Nintendo would just drop an AC direct already because its hard to stay hyped looking at blurry images of billboards and leaked stickers!

Yeah I agree. There are definitely fewer posts and I feel my excitement waning a bit. And to be honest, the increased negativity lately has been getting to me too. But I'm sure that will all be fixed when we get more info from the corocoro magazine and later the Nintendo Direct... whenever that happens... which it better!

My excitement is suprisingly increasing as we're nearing march 20nd, or it could be nervousness because we don't really know much about it yet, or both! Gosh nintendo we need a direct!!!

I must be on they hype train that's still barreling full speed down the track. Nintendo will release information when they feel they're ready. And when they're ready, I'll be ready!

I'm still super excited but I'm definitely thirsty for some new information!! Nintendo needs to hurry it up we need that direct.

I don't think the hype is dying, so much of the stuff we're able to discuss. Also, I've noticed that in the month leading up to release, discussion on games tend to die down a little.

I don't think the hype is completely gone yet. I do think that we have just run out of things to talk about since there hasn't been any new information out. If Nintendo just did a little 10-15 minute info session on online play, amiibo support, and drop a new trailer then I think people would be good to go until the release date.

I don't know how hype could die. Even if there were 0 trailers, there would be major hype.

The fact that a new mainline AC game is coming to the Switch in March is all we need.

Whilst things might be a bit stagnant news-wise, the excitement for this game is still unreal! I definitely feel the community has been a big contributing factor with this. Sharing the excitement with others, talking about our favourite new features, speculating etc. It's all kept the hype alive for me personally.

The hype isn't exactly dying, it's just hard to stay hyped nonstop when no new information is dropped. I think the hype would be huge if there was anything to be hyped about, lol. We analysed every millisecond of every trailer in hundreds of videos and threads already, we want to be hyped! But yes, there was a time around December and January where I thought about Animal Crossing all day everyday, while right now I'm pretty much distracted by real life since there isn't much to think about anyway. This will of course change again if the direct we want and deserve finally comes!

i think that nintendo knows they don't have to talk about the game that much because the fanbase is incredibly dedicated, and this shows in how almost everything animal crossing related has been selling out as of late... i'm super excited still, and while i really wish nintendo would release something relating to the game, i don't mind waiting until the game comes out to see all the new features!

The hype has been strong since the switch released. Always looming in the shadows until the announcement hit.
All of my friends and co-workers know that Animal Crossing is my favorite series of all time.
The hype will never die.

I'm so hyped, I can barely contain myself. I'm trying to finish off Dragon Quest XI S Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition for Nintendo Switch before March 20th so I can indulge fully in a new Animal Crossing!

Not for me! I'm so excited. As for news, CoroCoro magazine is supposed to have a New Horizons feature on the 15th and I really think we'll get a Direct sometime soon.
