Is the hype dying?

I think it was the opposite for me. My excitement for it is full scale now that it's a month-ish away. I didn't really follow it early on since I knew how far out it was and seeing the themed switch definitely pumped me up.
I didn't buy a switch since AC is really the only game I play nintendo wise so definitely happy I waited to have the themed console.

I don't really think the excitement for others has waned though. Preorders for the AC themed Switch were sold out pretty instantly. So I think we're all just quietly biding our time.

More like plateaued since there’s nothing to discuss.

Which I’m still shook that it’s taken this long for a new direct/trailer to come out. There’s a direct rumor saying that we’ll get one on the 20th which is exactly a month away from release date which is weird that they would wait until the very last month to start properly advertising their game

i've been consistently excited or it since it was announced and have been looking forward to it for a long while, but i wish they would offer more frequent updates and information as it's quite frustrating to be so soon to release and feel like you know hardly anything. but it's not impacting my excitement - i bought new leaf having never heard of animal crossing or anything related to it whatsoever.

Honestly for me, every day I get more and more excited. I JUST WANT A CRUMB OF INFORMATION NINTENDO PLS

I feel like in a lot of cases not having enough information hypes people up more. At least I spend a huge chunk of my day googling things about Animal Crossing to see if any new information has been released or if any Directs have been announced.

Whereas when there is a lot of information out for a game already I don't search for it as obsessively. That being said I would prefer the peace of mind of having a direct with more information released. Right now I just have so many questions that need answers... it's overwhelming.

honestly, it's kinda hard to say.

personally, i haven't really been looking at anything related to new horizons because i've been busy irl.

lack of information can be good in SOME cases. sometimes it can make people more excited to check things out for themselves in the game, and just figure things out on their own. however, other people like to know what to expect. it really all depends on the person.

nintendo is really just releasing little bits of information here and there to probably try and keep the suspense going (is what i'm thinking)

I don't think so, but I do agree that some of the negativity surrounding certain features or possible features has worried me a little so I could see why that would put certain members off.
I've been really excited about the game! I hope there's some more information soon, but even if there's not that won't really make the hype any less for me. I've spent quite some money on the new console & game so it'd be weird if I wouldn't be excited for it anymore :)

it doesn't seem to be that the hype is dying but that people are a bit more jaded so the hype has just quieted down/lowered its volume; it's still there (or else none of us would really be here lol) but it's kind quest because nothing new has been said and we don't really want to get our hopes up again. when a direct comes out the hype will start to be louder again

Not gonna lie, I think when I went "I'll join TBT that'll be a chilll place to hang out", I hadn't quite seen what happens when everyone's waiting for a Direct... I may need to revise that stance if these threads are anything to go by :p
Right?! I'm honestly a little bit shocked by this reaction. haha
