Is the hype dying?

Depends on what makes you exciting. The reveal of the new map in the trailer a week or so again put me right back on the hype train.

i don?t think the hype is dying; things have just been quieter lately since there hasn?t really been anything new to talk about in terms of news

I’m personally conservative about my hype until there’s a bit more info but still excited.

I don't think the hype is dying. I mean I'm only one person but I'm actually excited after so many years of not having a new mainline game. & of course, everyone wants some news/a new direct.

I'm in a state of just acceptance and waiting now :'D I've loved almost everything I've seen so far and I'll welcome any new information but I already got my preload downloaded so I'm just waiting patiently for the day!

I think Nintendo fails us right now. AC is one of their biggest franchises, but they behave like it's nothing. Or maybe it's the mentality that the game will sell itself, which is insulting to fans. I am not asking much, just acknowledge the game and show us something new. We've waited for ages for a decent new game, and now they treat it like it's no big deal. It is for us.

I don't think the hype is dying, but more that the game is now a month away and we're pretty just all waiting and are maybe trying to avoid spoiling ourselves too much?

i've never seen many people be super expressive about new horizons, at least compared to other games, even when it was first announced. i don't talk about it at all really but it's hard to pretend that i don't care to make time go faster when i pretty much think about it all the time.
i do hope that the game does well, nintendo aren't very good at promoting things. three houses had abysmal marketing somewhat like this one but it still managed to succeed

Hmmmm, I'm not convinced about that.

animal crossing is in the top 10 in terms of sales so that is quite true

The fact that people go crazy on twitter and asking under every single tweet Nintendo makes for a Direct and more Animal Crossing news tells me that the hype is definitely not dying, instead the hype is so big the AC fandom even bother others with it too much.

Nah the hype is still pretty strong everywhere. People on Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, and YT are still talking quite alot about it

Not dying there is just not much to discuss right now. Also the game is like a month away so we are just all patient and waiting. Oh boy one month is soooooo close! It's in reach.

Personally, for now, it's dying a bit but in a good way I suppose. With no videos since September (I want to hear more music too), high quality images with new info, and the release date being a month away, I guess it's decent that nothing is happening so far. I have so much uni work to do from now until the release, so I think it's moreso my uni deadlines that are killing my hype for the game lol. As we get closer to release I think my hype will skyrocket.

My hype hasn't died yet! As we get closer I feel myself getting more excited! I've been near giddy for days and it's affecting my already horrid attention span xD While I can always go for more news, I'm not giving up on the hype train yet! For me, it's still barreling down the track at maximum speed! >x3

I've seen the hype get stronger in various places. It just seems like it's dying because we haven't had a new info drop to keep pushing it.

The lack of info is 'slightly' worrying.
You'd think they would have shown a bit more.

Hopefully we get a direct soon and get to see a few of the in game activities, shops and PWP style structures!

i feel the same way; i’ve been pretending that i don’t care as much but it seems as if ever since i decided to get new horizons, time has been going much slower
