Is the hype dying?

I wouldn?t say that people aren?t hyped, it?s just that the lack of info has made it a ?quiet hype.? There?s not much for fans to discuss on the internet without any news.

...no? Huh.

Also, I don't really want/need more information. I'm just looking forward to actually playing the game.

Yeah the hype is definitely not dying. We are what, 36/37 days away from the release? A little over a month, we've come this far and most of us have already decided whether or not we are buying it, so I don't think we really need any more information at this point. Don't forget Coro Coro magazine this month promised an "exclusive scoop" which might substitute for a direct.

The hype is definitely dying, especially on message boards and on youtube, with little to no new info from Nintendo to discuss; many worries about various aspects of the game have been expressed by fans, that have been left ignored and unresolved by Nintendo.

That said, I am almost 72 years old and to be brutally honest, at the rate AC games are put out, this could be my last AC game. So, I have pre-ordered it and will buy it. I am holding off on my tentative plans to buy an additional Switch Lite, for a second island, until I know more about the game.

Not sure what Nintendo's strategy or plans are, but I hope they are still interested in getting some hype going for at least a few games in the next year or two. They have been so quiet lately.

I wouldn?t say it?s dying at all. Even the littlest bit of information makes the community go wild in speculation and excitement.

We?ll likely get a direct before February is over and, once that drops, it?s going to be Animal Crossing everywhere. Don?t forget, we also have the Corocoro magazine info dropping in just two days as well.

I'm definately hyped to hear more.
I don't want to go in totally blind, and we barely know anything.

Can't wait for more news and gameplay footage!

I don't think it needs hype, we're close to the release date and I've seen so many people casually talk about looking forward to it. But, you know, one trailer and social media will rightfully obsess over every detail for at least two weeks. :D

Hype dying? I have no idea where that came from. We just got the special-edition Switch release, got "exclusive information" coming tomorrow, and most likely another Direct before the game releases.

Nintendo is not going to say everything about the game three months out, but I guarantee they will say a lot more and there will be a lot more marketing in March.

It's slowing down. It didn't make things better when people were overreacting about an ESRB rating stating that there would be in-game purchases. These dramatic events are driving me up the wall to be honest. Sorry if I ruffled someone's feathers. I just couldn't take it anymore.

I definitely don't feel the hype is dying. However, the game isn't constantly at the front of my mind at all times. But that's also probably because I've made a big effort to not think about it that much, or I'll be too distracted to do anything else ^^;;

I?m still pretty hype, but I have seen more negativity than usual. I think everyone is a little bent out of shape over the lack of information, and I am too, but it hasn?t changed how excited I am. It?s animal crossing, I?m gonna love it regardless. I can wait until March to get the full information if need be.

Not gonna lie, I think when I went "I'll join TBT that'll be a chilll place to hang out", I hadn't quite seen what happens when everyone's waiting for a Direct... I may need to revise that stance if these threads are anything to go by :p

My excitement has personally grown much more. Could be due to the fact that I pre-ordered my copy just yesterday with the keychain included.
It's always been the lead up until the game is released that gets me excited. Once I have the game and have played it for a few hours, the excitement will settle and I'll hopefully just be having fun with it at that point.

I haven't been as active on here because I want to just jump in and surprise myself. Though, another direct would be nice.

Yeah I?d definitely agree on this point. I?m still really excited for the game and I can?t wait for it to arrive. But when I first heard it was coming out I was thinking about it daily. Planning what I was gonna name my town, the features I hoped would return, thinking about how town services would work etc. But there?s been so little that there?s nothing new for anyone to be excited over.

For be personally, no. I'm super excited to play and I'm leaving my three main sites multiple times throughout a day in hopes of new information. But the concerns reading certain subjects seem to be all the rage now and I wish Nintendo would release something to quell those concerns. Either way, I'm ready to play!

I think once there is more news the hype will return. Actual news lol not just a 30 sec video showing the same stuff. However, I am kinda glad we know nothing of the game.

I don't think the hype is really dying just yet. If anything I'd say it's increasing. (Unless I'm imagining things) The New Horizons section is getting a lot more views and posts than it used to receive, as the release date draws nearer. I'd say the hype train is still in full motion. Once the game finally does come out, and The Bell Tree Forums gets a full makeover, I imagine Horizons will almost fully and very likely replace the popularity that New Leaf once had.

Hopefully the hype will start to gain more traction as soon as March gets here, I know I can hardly wait, I've already got some days after it's release off of work in anticipation. Not too many, just in case it's delayed for a week or so again. My hope also lies with it not gaining too much traction and be a let down to many people in what they were expecting.
