I'm really happy, audio diary. Mayor Eva came back without a scratch, although she tells me that another mayor was sentenced to banishment from their town for ordering his villagers to try and overthrow the Council at the hearing. They should be glad it wasn't worse, considering that is a very daring move made by them. But since the word got out about it, everybody has been discussing if those villagers were right to try and get to the members of the Council. While I don't like the Council, they have full power over the towns and mayors. While I'm at it, I'll discuss the history of the Council.

Around 7 years ago, there was no Council. Each town had their own mayor, residents, rules and restrictions. But some towns found that others were not fair in the way they treated others. For example, some towns greatly disliked others and if anyone were to come from that town, they could be cast off to the side, have their belongings stolen or worse. So one town decided they'd had enough, and went around gathering the most powerful animals in the land. They called themselves the Council, and preached to all the towns how'd they would make things right for all, and make everything fair. They set up their base out in the Badlands, gathered information about all the towns and set up their rules. Overtime, the Council became more and more harsh and the rules became more strict. They were being more of a dictator than a proper leader, but we could not speak of it. The Council that was back then was much fairer and nicer, with less punishments and much less restrictions. But as new animals went into power, it was an up and down battle for them. It all came to today's Council...

So there you have it. It's hard to believe that the Council used to be nice, and only set restrictions based on why the towns didn't like each other. But now they're dictators, and everybody hates them. We'd take back all of us hating each other in a heartbeat if we were given the chance. But I think it's enough for today. I need to work on another report, since we just had some construction done...
