Island Living: A Photo Journal

Island/Town Name
Littlestar
Hemisphere
North
I love photographing bugs in real life and I enjoy doing it in the game as well. Bees are the most challenging. It's difficult to predict their flying pattern. All I could do was follow with the camera until a good opportunity presents itself. I love how, when you're close enough, you can see how much pollen their little hind legs have picked up!

In other news, Kitty moved in on Feb 21. Today, she gave me her photo. ☺️

So I wandered into Picrew and made human kid versions of my islanders. I think they look super cute. 😁 I've done it before and I surprised myself at some of the differences between then and now. There were limitations to the avatar maker, of course, so I had to work with them. Had a ton of fun though and that's the important thing! 🥳

Last night, the moon was pretty. 🌕

This morning, I found Kitty, Marlo and Marshal grunting and gasping exercising at the plaza. I probably stared too long. But I've always enjoyed seeing all the different expressions they make as they struggle go through their death-defying routine. 😠😬🥴😫

Sometimes I get the urge to play dress-up! ☺️ In real life, it doesn't happen. I wear the same type of outfit all year. And that's a (usually black) t-shirt with bermudas. It's too warm and humid for anything else. 😰

In other news, I think we've got a new neighbour to move in. The question is, who to move out. 🤔

No drama. Just wonderful spring weather, a new move-in and cute islanders doing what they do. 😊

In other news, I'm having a blast playing Core Keeper every day. It's a pretty relaxing game, with a lot of exploring and crafting. There are enemies and boss fights, which can be brutal when you're not prepared and kind of fun when you are. Lots of content for an early access game.

There are two very different ways you could choose to spend a gorgeous spring afternoon. You could stand in a field of blooming white windflowers and look resplendent under that beautiful blue sky...

... or you could summon all the energy that is in your sturdy little body and tear up a smug neighbour's garden by pretending you're running for your life from a horde of duck-eating, ravenous, bloody red roses.

There's been almost non-stop rain in my game just about every day. I wish that would happen in real life. These days, it rains for 5 or 10 minutes at most and all that does is add to the humidity level. 😥 Also, Shino, I'd recommend getting a few tillandsia if you're looking for chatty plants. They have so much personality! I talk to mine every day. 😊

I love sakura season. I remember being just as enthusiastic about the blooming sakura trees last year as I am this year. Can't get enough of it. Every day I take lots of pictures. 😊

In other news, Shino invited me to her home today.

She looks really cute with glasses. I'm hoping she'll read more often in different spots on the island, since she has the education hobby. I do miss Wolfgang, our Most Voracious Reader when he was living on Littlestar.
