If anyone cares about the darker details that never ended up getting shared:
-Poncho had the lucky ability because of a special 'lucky' gift from his sister who died of cancer
-Anhka and Tom Nook were having an affair
-Vesta was a doctor who got fired for selling extra painkillers on the side. She would have gone to jail if not for Tom's help.
-Dobie was an ex-solider who participated in a big war when he was much younger.

-Gayle was killed by Tom for refusing to be mafia. In Monique's elim story, Tom mentions it was a shame she had to go, because the Able Sister's was going to be releasing a very exclusive limited edition pink crocodile leather handbag soon that he knew Monique would have loved.
If Vesta/Damniel was elimed D1
As the talking continued, taking a chance to slip away from the group, Vesta retreated back to her home. Once inside, she routed through her bedside drawer to find a key. This key unlocked the box she kept hidden in the back of her wardrobe, hidden beneath the piles of scarves and shirts she owned. She sat on her bed with the box beside her, and sighed, unlocking the box.
The first aid kit inside was more advanced than the typical one people would have in their houses, and that was because Vesta was more advanced in first aid. She’d kept the secret away from her villager friends, but she had been a doctor once. She was great at it too, and it had been a fantastically paid job. But the greed got the better of her, and she used her position of power to begin selling extra painkillers to her patients. She was caught, of course, she nearly lost everything.
It had been Tom Nook who saved her from her impending downfall. He’d offered her a chance to escape from all that, to start over with a fresh slate. That’s why she was here in the first place… and now her saviour was looking to have her dead. He knew she couldn’t afford the three million bells loan. If he’d given her a little more time… Not that it mattered now. This was the way it was. She was going to be a doctor again, and use her skills to save whoever she could.
She closed the box and carried it with her as she left the house, ready to head back to the others. But, it seemed, they weren’t so pleased to see her. They rounded on her, demanding to know why she had been the first to jump, the one controlling the situation. They said they didn’t trust it.
“But… I’m a doctor! I can help you!” She held out the first aid kit she brought with her.
“Yes, right!” Colton said, almost sounding like he was trying to stifle a laugh. “You’d have mentioned something like that by now. You’ve just got a first aid kit, I’m sure more of us than just you know how to wrap gauze around a wound. Not like I’m sure than would even help anyway.”
“No, you don’t understand, I am, I promise-”
But Tom Nook appeared from within the town hall, Isabelle still following him around, an obedient but terrified pup.
“Oh, Vesta…” Tom mused. “Look at you. You’ve kept your secrets from your friends and look where it’s gotten you.”
“Screw you, Nook!” Vesta snapped. “I thought you were my friend!”
“And I thought you were mine. So why didn’t you pay what you owed me? You could have used your skills and made that money back quickly enough.”
“You know why…” Vesta said through her teeth, seething.
“You mean… she really is… a doctor?” asked Stitches.
“Oh yes, but I’m afraid you can’t change your mind now. Your choice has been made. Goodbye Vesta.”
With practiced speed and accuracy, Tom withdrew a gun from his shirt pocket, clicked off the safety and fired. The crowd could do nothing but watch in horror as the person who could have helped them slumped to the ground, dead.

If No Elim was voted for
The group came to an agreement. They were voting for no-one. They would not put anyone forward for Tom Nook’s sick little game. As a collective, a team, they marched up to the town hall. Vesta was the one who stepped forward, knocking on the door.
It took a minute for Tom to appear. “Oh, have you made your choice already?”
“We have,” Vesta said.
“We choose no-one,” Colton said.
“No-one…?” Tom asked. The smile on his face faltered for a second, as if he hadn’t expected that possible outcome. Then, as quickly as it went, he came back. “Ohoho… you think you’re smart, don’t you? Well, alright… fair play. I’ll give you this one. But don’t think I’ll let you get away with it again. Go on now, go home. And… don’t bother locking your doors. My goons will find you anyway.”

Monique/Guava Elim Story
Monique was, at first, appalled by the idea of helping Tom Nook kill her fellow islanders (seriously, all that blood? It would never wash out!) But the promise of not having to pay back her loan was very tempting. Three million bells saved… she almost drooled at the thought of all the accessories and outfits she could buy with that much money. And Tom had assured her she wouldn’t be alone. She was certain that if she got in hot water, she could deflect the suspicion onto her fellow goons and look all the more trustworthy for it - she knew how to work people like that.
She was wrong. She was very, very wrong.
She didn’t know where Vesta found the rope, but the others had ganged up on her and tied her up, much to her disgust. Seriously - the beige-y brown colour of the rope didn’t match her dress at all! When they dragged her in front of Tom, he looked down at her with an emotionless stare.
“M-Mr Nook, p-please help me!” She said, starting to panic now. Her dress was going to be ruined with those awful red stains!
Tom simply shook his head. “You know… I honestly expected you to get caught. You’re just too… showy for your own good.” He pulled out a knife from the pocket of his jacket.
“N-No! The staaaains!” Monique wailed. “You’ll ruin the dress!”
“I intend to. It’s… really ugly.”
The crowd couldn’t tell if the face Monique pulled was from the shock of the insult Tom had dealt her, or from the pain of the knife plunging into her chest. Either way, her make-up clad features twisted grotesquely. Blood dribbled from her mouth. She brought a hand up to wipe it away, leaving streaks on her face like smeared lipstick. She collapsed to the ground.
“Ah… a shame, really,” Tom said, crouching down to wipe the blood on the knife off on her dress. “The Able Sisters were going to be releasing a very limited stock of pink crocodile skin handbags soon, I’m sure Monique would have loved one.”

Dobie/Geoni Elim Story
Dobie was getting on in his years, sure. He was the kind of man who enjoyed classical music and gardening and got annoyed and the peppy kids being loud and hardly knew what he was doing with that NookPhone he was given half the time. He wasn’t the most agile either, nearly every day, he would get out of bed and wonder if he should be getting himself a walking stick.
His age didn’t stop him having a love for his life, though. If the experience he went through taught him anything, it was that being alive was precious, and should be fought for - even if it meant taking the life of another. That was why Nook chose him to be one of the hired help. An ex-soldier, he thought, was the perfect fit.
Dobie fought as hard as he could when the crowd turned on him. His old bones felt new again - he had no problem knocking back Poncho, swiping out Stitches’ feet from underneath him. But there were too many of them. He struggled, yelling at them to let him go. He never saw who hit him with what, but he heard the clank and felt the pain in the back of his head, and everything went black.
When he came too, the sky above him was dark. He could only just see Tom standing over him through half-lidded eyes, leaning on a baseball bat as if it was a cane. “I’m disappointed in you, Dobie, I really am. I chose you especially, I thought you’d have my back here.”
“No… wait… I can still…” Dobie groaned out, slowly moving, trying to get up.
“It’s too late for that. They caught you out. You need to go.”
“Please, I’m begging you-” Dobie began, but Nook raised the bat. Dobie’s world went black again one final time.
