Just thought of two new villager personalities that Nintendo NEEDS to add

The personalities are Moody and Nerdy. Moody villagers don't care about anything, like to keep to themselves, and often wear black and purple. Nerdy villagers are overly social and spit out random facts like the value of pi to the fifteenth decimal or that we've never touched anything in our lives. I have two ideas for villagers under those personalities. First, there's a horse named Sabrina, who's like the female version of Roscoe. She's moody. The nerdy villager is a turquoise duck who looks like someone fused Quillson and Derwin. His name is Elliot. However, instead of those personalities being strictly tied to either male or female villagers, villagers of both genders can be moody or nerdy. Now isn't that great? Feel free to share your opinions and ideas Also, which of those two would you want on your island?

Well, I don't hate the idea, but when I hear moody, I actually think cranky. But I think what you're describing could be called something like Loner. I LOVE the nerdy one. Frankly, I think that it's kind of silly that personalities are gender specific at all.

Relatable, I'd have both on my island as I could relate to both but like the above person said maybe the moody should be called something else like: Loner, Introvert, Recluse, Outsider etc..

Here's some I can think of:

1. Introvert
2. Timid
3. Sassy
4. Serious
5. Adamant
6. Hasty
7. Jolly
8. Calm
9. Bashful
10. Brave

I kinda named some of them after the natures from Pokemon, but I know for a fact there is so many other more personalities they can add to the next AC game that would really give the villagers more variety so it doesn't feel all of the same. I think having only 8 personalities is not enough.

If I didn't already have him, and these were real. I'd have a loner villager play Craig lol. It sounds slightly similar to a Cranky, but Crankys don't mind being with others. So a villager telling me to leave them alone, I'd be down

In my opinion, Peppys are pretty geeky, since they fan girl about games, and shows. But a strictly nerdy villager would be fun. Id have a Kevin lol

I think moody is very similar to cranky and wouldn’t differentiate much. I do think personalities should not be gender-locked, though. There can be female jocks and male peppy villagers. I think this can make things a little more interesting. Imagine different dialogue for either gender.

What about male sisterly villagers which would be brotherly villagers

i feel like the moody would just be like snooty, smug, and sisterly combined. personally, i think that if nintendo were to add a new personality type, they should opt for something we don't have yet, which is why i voted for nerdy. a nerdy character could talk about scientific theories or make random math comments all the time. idk. petri should be switched to nerdy if it got added though.

i also think nintendo should drop the gender roles because agnes would be a much better smug pig than a sisterly one. plus if they add the nerdy and keep the gender roles, nerdy will most likely be given to the males, and that erases so much opportunity. just me?

Thats a great idea. I for me personally I would want to see normal males and brotherly (alternate of sisterly) type villagers.

I have a feeling the personalities will remain gender locked though because Nintendo might still be stuck in the 1960s. It’s a nice concept to think about, though.

How about spooky personality - they send you lots and lots of letters and presents, give you their photo like a week after they first arrive to your island, and either never sleep or only come out at night. Also their reactions wouldn't be normal, like if you do a shock reaction they do a mischievous reaction, or cry when you laugh, etc. And they also probably talk about the bugs in their floor that talk to them

i like both ideas, but i especially like the idea of a nerdy personality! i like being told random facts, so i imagine that i’d talk to them often to learn as many of their facts as i could. i also would love if personalities were no longer gender-locked — give me a male normal villager, or a female jock!

My first thought was that sounds more like clingy. Still, it’s a neat idea. Nintendo could do with more variety in their personalities.

Sasha would totally be a male peppy if personalities weren’t gender-locked.

Sure. Why not? While I'd rename the Moody personality because it seems to more accurately describe Crankies (at least back when they acted as they were supposed to pre-New Leaf), I'm still open to these ideas. It'd be interesting having not one, but two personality types not bind by being exclusively male or female. It'd also justify the 10-villager limit because being able to have each of every personality without having any villager share the same personality would be great, as it'd be easier to have a distinguished town.

I do not think I have any nerdy types on my island so I would not mind having them as an islander living on Cosa Bella. But I know for a fact that I have not had and will not have moody types. I am just a normal happy person so when I play this game to relax I can not stand moody or negativity.

Ione is a normal squirrel villager. Still, I think nerdy is a nice concept. Could be similar to Blathers, in a way.

I think so, too, though I still find her being a Snooty a nice juxtaposition. Science does tend to get a little messy, but it's nice seeing a Snooty villager have a different aesthetic for once.
