Kapp'n's islands?

It seems like it's mostly just to help players get out of season materials/fish/bugs qnd some exclusive botany. Hopefully tropical fruit can show up there.

This is what I think too…it seems like Nintendo has somewhat provided a way for other people who don’t trade to have a chance to acquire stuff they normally wouldn’t have with this update, hence these islands with varying seasons and materials and Reese and Cyrus’ shop opening at Harv’s.

Totally agree. Could’ve just added those new islands to the DAL mystery tours. A plane can’t take us to another hemisphere but Kapp’n’s little motorboat can? Lol

I bet they had other plan’s for Kapp’n, like gifting the pirate items, but they weren’t ready to put him in the game yet, so they just put Gulliver in a pirate costume.

Maybe they’ll add more features with Kapp’n in a smaller update.

Well, at least he was shown to have more to him than Brewster.

I imagine many new cooking recipes will require different kinds of fish that may not spawn in the current season or time of day, so the islands could be helpful for that, especially if you don't like to time travel.
