I was surprised to see this upcoming for the switch, but I loved katamari for PS3 and it was such a relaxing game to play it. I reckon lots of people have not played or know what it is, but it's a trip!

Thoughts about it? Is anyone else excited about it?

I always wanted to try it and was always told that I really should, but I'm sombody who has never actually played it before. It doesn't seem like my kind of thing, but then again, I'm not sure if it even falls into any category. I plan to play the demo :)

Okay, I know I at least need to crochet the katamari people... they look like so much fun.

I'm excited for it, and I'll be picking it up for sure. ;) I love the series, it's so fun. Especially once you roll up a huge katamari and start picking up cars and houses and even skyscrapers.

It's a quirky series for sure, and I like when you start off relatively small and gen end up picking up whole continents. It's annoying to have to play a 10+ minute stage only to fail, but I'm really ok with it in a game as charming as this

I enjoyed Katamari on the PSP. Definitely gonna try out the Reroll demo in december.

so you just roll stuff around in this game cause I don't really understand what's so amazing about the game.

I mean, in Mario Kart you just drive around. In Smash Bros. you just fight around. In Animal Crossing you just walk around.

You can simplify every game to make it seem boring if you want to or you can try to look past that :)

Are you trying to say I'm boring with my game styles?

and that game I was talking about I mean that it just looks like a baby starter game for young kids like MK8 if that counts and anyways I don't see what's so amazing about the game. Cause all these trailers I seen for the game all seems boring cause I just see you roll around stuff.

That doesn't sound at all like what he was saying. He was just saying that any game can seem like it is boring based on how a person describes it. And those games he listed were just examples. He probably enjoys at least some of them, if not all.

In my opinion, Katamari Demacy is delightfully simple, based on what I remember of it. It's definitely kid-friendly. I believe its humour adds to the game's charm. And instead of just rolling things around, you have to do it a certain way while avoiding obstacles. I find it rather fun! It may really be boring to you even after trying it out though, and that's okay. Different preferences.

Anyways! I'm excited to get to play this again and on the Switch! Those bonus stickers are cute too. c:

200cc is a baby starter game for kids, assisted drive is just directed to kids and not those who are less abled who also want to enjoy the game. Love your logic here.

That's exactly what I meant! Thanks :)

OMG, this is the first I'm hearing about this. That's so exciting!! Katamari Damacy was one of my favorite PS2 games to play with friends, and I find the series strangely addicting and calming. You kind of get in a zone and just want to keep rolling and rolling... Plus, I love the details of all the different items. A lot of them are Japan-specific items or designs which also gives me a big sense of nostalgia for when I lived abroad.

I don't have a Switch yet, but I'll definitely be buying one as soon as AC and Katamari are out!

This game is out now if anyone was considering picking it up!

I want it now! Anyways, I've randomly stumbled upon Katamari Damacy a few years ago, and I didn't have any of the consoles it was on, but I absolutely loved it. I played Tap My Katamari for a while, but it wasn't a true Katamari Damacy game. I want to get it and play it soon. Such an underrated game!

It's only available digitally in Europe and I'm super upset cause I buy all my Switch games physical please help

Isn't it available on Steam for everyone?
I think a physical version may be found here, I'm not sure if they ship worldwide.

It is available digitally for everyone but I want my boxarts :( And gamestop is the only retailer to sell it physical in US so I'll have to get the Japanese version but there's NO info at all if I can play the game in English if I buy the Japanese game. Also, this is not really the game I was planning on spending a fortune on. So going through the hassle of importing and stuff is not really what I'm interested in.

Guess I gotta settle for digital *gulp*

It seems you unfortunately may have to do that. :(
I've used services like Tenso and they do seem to charge quite a bit...
