Least Favorite Household Chore?

Doing the laundry. I really don't care but the machine is in the basement and I don't have a elevator - I live in the 3th floor. I really hate it and it's a reason for me to move and find a new appartment ^^*

Also ironing is a big no-no. I never did it since I moved out xD screw ironing. I also hate to fold.my clothes. Everything with laundry is the enemy I guess.

I also have to add ironing. Thank god I don't have to do it. I never buy clothes that require ironing. Screw that mess!

I also don't like taking out the garbage/recycling to the garage. In the summer it's okay but in the winter just sucks.

I can’t stand doing laundry, it takes forever and I hate waiting for clothes to wash and dry. Most of the time I end up leaving my clean clothes in the hamper once they’re done because I don’t want to fold them and put them away.

I'm not lazy, so I don't really mind doing most chores, but one thing I don't like is having to clean up the mess that others make (especially if they're healthy, able-bodied people).

Cleaning the shower walls.
It just feels like a time consuming messy thing to accomplish... and chemical fumes.. ack! I just feel there isn't a good way to go about it. I also have asthma so maybe the task really isn't as bad as it is to me. If it was just myself, I would just take a rag with vinegar after I am done showering every time and wipe it down real quick while the water runs before getting out as a solution.. and then just using bleach or something to that level once a month on top of it to keep it nicer but it isn't just me who uses that shower lol.
Tip for those who dread scrubbing shower floors, get a long handle grout brush. So much easier and faster and less messy. I also use epsom salt as a safe abrasive when needed (esp if you use bar soap) because it dissolves so it won't clog the drains.
My husbands eyes rolled so hard when I asked if he would be up to just rising the shower curtain off before getting out every time and then shake it a little bit to help keep the soap and water droplet marks down. LOL!
I didn't expect a yes, but thought it was worth asking... cleaning shower curtains isn't exactly desirable either lol and probably my second most disliked task. But it is much better than the sliding doors with no fresh air while cleaning. Glad we agreed to get rid of that.

bruh i'm the youngest yet i have to do everything

the most annoying chore is washing the clothes, i don't care too much about this since all i'm doing is putting stuff in the washing machine, then the dryer then fold it which is nice because the clothes are so warm amd soft after coming out the dryer

the thing that really bothers me is that my older brother will leave his nasty clothes on the floow for a few days instead of just putting them in the wash basket
then once i've done all the washing and completely emptied the basket, he will get his clothes and dump them in the basket
then the entire hallway smells like his clothes until i get time to wash them and it's really irritating 😑

that's the only annoying part though, if my brother didn't act like that, i wouldn't mind doing the washing everyday

Laundry, because you have to keep going back and forth, I hate chores that I can't finish all at once, and with laundry I'll be going up, and down every couple of hours throughout the day, it's the chore that keeps on disturbing whatever I'm doing.

I don't mind most chores, ironing, hoovering and washing up don't really bother me and I'm quite lucky with laundry that I only have to sort my clothes basket into piles and then usually my dad does the moving it between the washer and dryer - not that I'd mind doing that but he usually wants to add things from the other two clothes baskets so he always ask that I leave it to him.

Two chores I really dislike though are toilet cleaning and taking the rubbish out. I don't mind cleaning my own toilet as only I use it so I'm happy enough been the one to keep it clean but the other toilets I practically never use (especially my brothers which I think I've used about twice in the last five years), so I'd hate to be cleaning them. The taking the rubbish out can be a pain when its winter and too cold but my biggest issue is more the food bin as I'm really sensitive to strong smells and when that one is full and needs emptying it never agrees with me.

I hate most chores :( but I do them anyway because I have OCD and I don't feel at ease if things aren't cleaned to my satisfaction. People tell me my home is so clean and I must love doing chores and I'm like no it's the mental illness, luv. I hate doing the dishes because yeah food is icky to touch. I hate doing laundry because I don't have a dryer so it literally takes so much planning to get everything dry in time. There's never a moment where I'm NOT actively doing something with laundry (either it's drying on the rack or it needs to be folded and put away). The chore I hate the most but have to do the least frequently is doing a deep clean of my bathroom. I should do it once a month but I loathe it so much that often I push it to 2 or sometimes 3 times a month. I would say laundry though because it's the one that takes up the most time and the one I can't put off unless I want to wear dirty clothes.

I guess running the vacuum. I love doing laundry and I don’t do dishes as I use paper plates and plastic utensils.

I know this was awhile ago but when I was a teen I used to trade my mom. Dishes were my chore and the gross soggy food in the sink (no dishwasher besides myself when I was a kid) would make me gag if it even brushed up against my hand. My mom cleaned the toilet. So we would trade. She would do the dishes and I would clean the toilet. It took so much less time and for whatever reason, didn't make me want to vomit. We were a household of 4, sometimes 6 people. Dishes took way longer to do.

The most obvious answer would be cleaning the toilet.

Taking the garbage out runs a close second.

My least favorite chore now is the laundry. It takes forever! FOREVER! And even when you think you are done, you really aren't because what you and everyone else is wearing is dirty! I'm a household of 5 sometimes 7. When school is in session in person we have school uniforms as well. It is a ton of clothes that are so unnecessary! I have around 500 hangers for tops only. Pants, shorts and the like go in drawers. It. Is. Awful. I always forget a load in the washer or dryer, never fails, and have to re-wash or I leave the last load in the hamper because I just can't be bothered to hang any more. I just can't. Oh but I love washing bath towels haha super quick to fold and my washer and dryer are in the bathroom so I throw them up in the cabinets and done.

My favorite chore is working out my couch cushion. It gets looking a little plump and needs a good flattening often.

I don't mind most chores, but cleaning out the shower drain makes me want to puke. The smells (why does it smell so bad??) and the slimy texture of everything is just disgusting 🤮 A close second is doing any yard work, as our front yard is massive and takes so long to tidy up.

I enjoy cleaning for the most part.... till I comes to dusting..... honestly I just hate dust lol

definitely doing the laundry. seems simple in retrospect but it tires me out so quickly. 🥴

The dishwasher 😓 I never liked it anyway but sadly I'm forced to do it again once a week since my current and most recent home has one now... yesterday, I turned it on, but the whole damn time, all of the others still had to stuff their junk into it, only making it last way longer before it was finally done 😪 and I absolutely cannot stand having to remove the washed dishes from it since they're often still dirty and soaked, and that plus SPD equals sensory disaster, even if I dry them with a dishcloth because the same sensory disaster occurs when drying machine-washed dishes with it, and I'm more used to drying hand-washed dishes since I very much prefer doing the dishes by hand after 2 years of having done so in my previous home.

I don’t like to vacuum 😔 I don’t like the noise from vacuum cleaners and will opt to sweep whenever I can. My dad loves vacuuming though (which makes sense since it’s easier on his back) but I only do it when I absolutely have to.

I don’t like washing the dishes either. I try to not let the dishes pile up because I hate having to fill the sink with water and wash them that way it feels so gross and the dishes never seem clean. I like to rinse them off using water, scrub em with soap, then rinse that off instead of using the same water for all the dishes.

Laundry is tiring but I don’t mind it! The worst part is that it takes so long, I can’t get it done all at once because I have to wait on the washer & the dryer and then fold everything but it’s not too bad.
