Legends of the Creepy Hollows

long thought to be a mere legend, I have managed to come across leftover wrappings for the dark candy. a special type of candy that disguses itself as ordinary halloween treats, except in a monochrome tint, and also envelops its surrounding area in a dark blackness. the taste is said to be out if this world, but nobody has been able to verify this claim. or rather, nobody knows what happens to those that partake of it, or if they're even of this world.... if they ever were

Once a year the Stairs of Zoom and Perches become corrupted. Spirits from the other side reach out to interact with the felines who run and perch on the stairs, making them have the zoomies 10x worse than normal and screwing with any pictures or videos you try to take of this event.

Both the stairs and the affected felines return to normal at 12:00AM on November 1st. Thankfully for everyone's sanity and sleep schedules.

The Legend of the One Eyed Cat: Do you ever wonder why your socks get lost in the laundry? Some say it's your washer that eats them, but it is actually the one eyed cat who steals them to create her sock bed

Legend has it that there's a mysterious creature lurking out at night, stealing our crops. Never has it shown it's face as it stealthily sneaks out when there is no one around. And yet, its habitat, this hole right here under the cabin, is not the slightest hidden, almost as if out of mockery...

Legend has it, if you go deep enough, you will hear the faith echo of whispers in the depths. Careful not to snap a twig or cough from the fumes as you notice unfamiliar gaseous smells encroaching you. If those whispers quench, it means you’re not the only one who noticed someone unwelcome.

When you first moved in, your neighbours told you of an outlandish rumour about a previous owner who supposedly haunts the house. Apparently, they had went into the storage room to bring out the Christmas decorations mid-October and somehow they were locked in. No one found them until it was too late.

You never paid heed to this rumour, until one fateful Halloween night. Feeling particularly festive, you enter the storage room to retrieve your inflatable lawn Santa. But something’s not right. You hear the distinct click of the light switch being pulled and are filled with a sudden sense of dread. Darkness envelops you…

The Legend of the Tree Spirits

Legends speak of good trees, and bad trees on this earth. Some will provide food, medicine, or shelter to help mankind. Others are more sinister causing mischief by throwing acorns at you and letting you blame it on innocent squirrels. Theses trees are said to be controlled by tree spirits. At night the boundaries between the spirits and the living become blurred. It usually occurs late at night, especially when the moon is full. The tree spirits will take human form and roam the land until day break. Heed my warning. Take care not to follow a tree spirit, because they will lead their unsuspecting victim to their untimely death.

30 sec long exposure that was a total workout to get lighted properly after several failed attempts. Two flashlights were used to create this effect. One to light me, the other to light the background.

In the storage cabinet is where my monster resides, Betty is seen guarding the spirit that lives inside.
Betty (like Luigi from the hit game Luigi’s mansion), sucks out the spirit of the ghosts that haunt this house from many many years ago.

The landlord mentioned you could store things in the basement if you needed more space. As you headed down there, you realized the lights stopped right before this doorway. You’re the only tenant in this place, yet you swear you can hear muffled laughter…do you muster up the courage to explore further?

This is my actual basement please help me

Who is she waving at you ask?
This is no ordinary cat flap... this is a sacred cat flap.
Through here is where the cat goddess Cleocatra resides.
Cats will watch for hours just waiting to catch a glimpse of her, upon which they adopt the
‘lucky cat pose’ (as demonstrated by my cat here) as a mark of respect.
It is rumoured that she will then bless them with endless amounts of their favourite wet food.

You notice that there's a curtain that's very old and crusty, you can't even lift it. You take a peak inside and you just have a feeling that something's very off... That there's something at the top of the curtains that you aren't meant to see.

Ever wonder what happens to the bits of food that comes off of plates when you wash the dishes? You might assume it just ends up with the water, out of sight and out of mind. However, you’d be wrong. Deep in every kitchen sink’s drainage pipe is a small creature no bigger than a mouse. It is fur-less and disturbingly humanoid but has no eyes, as the dark place it calls home doesn’t require them. Instead, it uses its other honed senses to crawl around the pipes and search for food.

It eats whatever comes through, subsisting on the waste that washes down when used dishes are cleaned. If the people in a house use paper plates, or don’t wash the dishes often enough, the creature becomes ravenous and hostile. It has the ability to call others of its kind in times of need, and will enlist them to help find anything that might be edible in the outside world, certainly not excluding people. Keep the tenant of your kitchen drain fed, or one day you’ll have far more than just one to worry about.

After my great grandfather passed away, I came into possession of these two paintings, which he swore up and down were haunted. The two have quite the sordid history, apparently having been passed from art collector to art collector to the point where their true origins are a mystery. Some owners have claimed seeing shadowy figures in their home, or reported that time seems to pass slowly in the room where the paintings are displayed. My great grandfather even reported hearing the sound of wind seemingly emanating from the paintings.

... Eh, it's probably fine. Now that I have them, what's the worst that could happen?

The most frightening thing about my entry is the fact that my cellphone is 6 years old and the camera is so bad oh God. And my pale-as-death hands. I'm not a ghost, I swear.

Also, I had to take these photos very carefully because out of frame, like, one centimeter to the left, is my desktop computer, and on top of which is perched a perfectly precarious pile of Porygon plushies.

They say that this small plant has the power to bewitch even the strongest beasts. One glance at it will tempt you into plucking one of its branches. Legend has it that anyone who touches these leaves will be spirited away. Take a peak… if you dare!

Somewhere in the neighborhood of his relatives… was a old house. The house was clearly abandoned… but was said to be haunted. It’s the 2nd time he has seen it and it’s peaked his interest even more. He decided to drop in late at night while everyone was sleeping.

As he entered… he felt a chill. It was a hot summer night yet the house was cold as winter. He heard a loud growl… like it was some beast. It was coming from the basement. He decided to go down to see. There was a room down there. The growl was even louder. It was coming from within the room. He opened the door… and decided to come back to his relatives house. He wasn’t quite sure what he saw, but it left him shivering and having unbearable nightmares for a whole week.

According to local legend, a young woman went missing from our area back in the 1880s. Her distraught family and the community organized a search party to try to locate her. Days passed, then weeks. Search efforts gradually ceased and the worst was assumed. Months began to pile up. As these things go, despite the pain, the family had to try to move on with their lives. Then one day, the following year, the man to whom the missing woman had been scheduled to be wed announced that he was going to be marrying a new woman. The following Autumn, on the night before they were to wed, the couple went out for a night walk together on a path along the forest. Supposedly, as the walk was coming toward its end, something humanoid leapt out from amongst the fallen leaves upon the forest floor and dragged him away into the darkness within, never to be seen again. It is believed that the man had something to do with his original bride's disappearance and that her spirit came back to claim her revenge.

It seems that the spirit of the young woman was not fully sated by her vengeance. Legend has it that she will erupt from piles of leaves and attack any unwary fool who finds themself near a pile of leaves past sundown. Some say that her spirit will never know rest until her remains are finally found and given a proper burial, while others think even that will not suffice and that her violent end in her youth has ensured she will remain forever unfulfilled. Whatever the case, it's probably best to get those leaves all bagged up and disposed of.

I'm real dumb and didn't think to hold the nametag closer to the camera. The leaf pile photos were taken last week and they're gone now. I put the nametag on the leafpile itself and it kind of has to be zoomed in. Sorry for the inconvenience, I'll remember for next time.

Here's a link where you can zoom in on it. Click here.

This abondoned hallway is full of old forgotten books, do not be too spooked if you hear a few books falling out of the shelf in the middle of the night, they will be returned by morning, possibly neater than they were before. legend has it there is a spirit that guards all the old bookshelf, it is believed she could have been a librarian who used to take care of it when it used to be a normal building.
