The creepiest thing I've seen by far has to be big groups of pedophiles gathering together online and insisting that they're good people since they're non-offending... all while being on the same website as tons of children. Pretty messed up stuff.
I think the grossest thing I've ever seen- it makes me nauseous just thinking about it- was a video of someone eating newborn kittens while they were still alive. I didn't watch the whole thing. OK, sorry if I've just eternally grossed you all out. My stomach is starting to hurt just thinking about this. :&

Yeah... It's all super messed up.

fake viruses have always terrified me. there was one in particular where the entire screen went red and an automated message began playing really loudly (which was especially freaky because I was wearing headphones) and it scared me half to death lol. also kind of off topic but weather warnings and amber alerts on tv scare me in the same way - the calm woman's voice is just so unnerving ugh
oh yeah and all the stuff you hear about tor/the "deep web" is pretty scary too

Oh man, I went through the exact same thing once! It was some crappy pop-up that wouldn't let me do ANYTHING no matter what. I couldn't X out, couldn't click Esc, nothing. It sucked. I was also wearing earbuds, so it was loud as hell.
ah, ben. good times. never forget ben. a creepypasta of my fave game of all time. i also love to read letsnotmeet on reddit, its a forum where people post real life encounters of stalkers, home invasions, creepers, and its terrifying since its real. (if the stories were fake the website encourages people to post in a story/fanfiction subreddit, to filter out all the fake ones)

^ i cant ever deal with or watch those videos. even the ones where people stomp on animals, its too much, its not funny. its terrible just thinking about it. i dont understand people who watch it even just for shock value.
TIME FOR A STORY.
So I'm into football (or soccer) and I have a twitter account dedicated to it just to talk to fellow football fans, livetweet matches and stuff. It's basically really open, we just talk to whoever the same way normal twitter works. I became mutuals with this guy who dmed me instantly and we were good friends. He told me stuff about this girl he really missed that wouldn't talk to him, and kept looking for ways to get her back.
I didn't know she was also someone he met online.
So this girl's from a country where being religious is a must. Apparently she and this guy were super close, would talk about the nastiest things, and do.... nasty things in general. He fell in love with her and she eventually moved away because he was caging her and became incredibly controlling. She deleted his number and left.
Now, he went insane. He called her with all his numbers, etc just to get her back. She eventually changed her number and deleted all forms of social media. As I was listening to everything he was saying, I mentally went.. "oh **** I'm in trouble." I really should've backed out of our friendship then and there.
He came up with this idea to steal pictures of girls from tumblr and catfish her cousin into telling him where she was, and he wanted ME to add her cousin on FB and do the stuff for him. No way.
Then he sent random nudes to her cousin to bait him. Again, I said no.
Things like this happened nearly everyday, him lashing out, calling me racist names just for me to cooperate with what he wanted me to do (but I never did any of them and jsut ignored his messages LOL)
He messaged me one day saying he'd fake his own death. He'd pretend to be someone else and tell her that she was the reason he killed himself. She'd feel guilty and try to make up for it (apparently lol).
When that didn't work, he threatened to tell her mother about all the things they did when they were friends. Note: she could get kicked out of her community for this.
I freaked and blocked him so quick.
A few weeks later, he sent me an anonymous question saying he knew my address and would find me the same way he found her. (It hasn't happened and this happened nearly 2 years ago so I guess he flopped LOL)

And my friend was the one on the computer and I was sitting behind her. And we keep exiting his chat but he kept trying to talk to us and we were all like "leave us alone" and he said he could find us and snipe us if we weren't nice to him. Then he said something like 'I'll shoot the redhead first" or something and it creeped me out cause I have red hair. I'm guessing he was on there on multiple names because we had mentioned our hair colors to some other dude on there, but it was still creepy.

Okay so I got three creepy internet stories that are the same genre (?)
The first is about a guy who dm'ed me on Instagram and kept calling me pretty and cute + speaking in broken English. This happened like 2-3(?) years ago, so I forgot a lot of the details, but I remember a few (since they're inside jokes with my friends). I asked him what country he was from, and he said California. Then when he kept telling me that he had a crush on me, I told him "You'll find someone else to have a crush on." he responded, "I think I am not." And I blocked him.
The second story is a way shorter experience, but somewhat the same + creepier. So pretty much another guy dm'edme and told me that I was cute and he liked my art, so I told him ty. He kept telling me I was super cute, and then he asked me to take 100 selfies and send them to him. I blocked him.
The third is kind of more of just like something you can feel embarrassment for(?) Since you can feel the awkwardness of a 7th grader through this story. So pretty much what happened was a 7th grader from my middle school (I'm a sophmore now) dm'ed me last year, and was just trying to strike up a convo for a few days. Later he told me, quote "You see, I find very very very attractive right, cute and all those things and you may be like 'what, what a weirdo' and i'm like no I mean it cause you are" and then "But you are like your so hot, my eyes need water cause there burning" and "But you really are but while me I'm such a weirdo cause i sometimes just stare at your selfies" and finally. This (these are individual texts btw): "Yo your hot and a very hot girl like you deserves a nickname. Let me think. What about cutie? Basic but true... Cutie, can I ask you a question? Is it weird to call a girl daddy or papi? Cause your nickname was going to be Daddy Becca but then I was like maybe not" This wasn't necessarily creepy, but it's a little bit of an inside joke with my friends. But he was in 7th grade so I understand the awkwardness lol

Oh god that made me remember Shovel Dog gif (DON'T look it up), which is pretty much a gif of a dog getting smacked in the head with a shovel and it makes me want to vomit whenever I think about it.
