Hi, and welcome to today...er, tonight's post! Sorry for the late update. I almost forgot! Anyway, a lot of exciting things happened today, so let's begin.

I had a letter from Gulliver this morning. He sent me his item from South Korea (he got there pretty fast!), which was a dish called samyetang. I don't think I have one, so I displayed it in my progressing kitchen upstairs in my museum.

I was starting my daily patrol throughout town when I saw Phineas. Of course he had a badge for me, but I wasn't sure of which one. It turned out to be the Balloon Hunter badge.

Since it was the Bug-Off, nobody had much to talk about, so I moved on with fossils. There was only one I needed to donate, and that was a diplo chest. Blathers told me that the dinosaur was complete, but he had more news than that- I've collected all the fossils! I wasn't expecting it so soon; it usually takes me a while of searching before I finish. I guess I just lucked out this time.

I checked shops and went to see Shrunk, as well as water my flowers. However, on my way to Re-Tail, I saw a birdwing butterfly! I immediately turned it in to Nat. It was standard-sized, but unfortunately the color was lacking, only earning it 88 points. I sold my items at Re-Tail and decided to head to Club Tortimer to do some beetle hunting so I could place higher. I'm not sure if the villagers can beat that score, but I wanted to be safe.

My first encounter was a girl who mainly spoke French, but I could make out her English too (though it wasn't fluent). She was pretty nice, and gave me 100 Bells. I was feeling generous, so I gave her 10,000. She repaid me and asked for more. I didn't mind and I also didn't want to disappoint her, so I gave her more Bells, hoping it would be enough for her. Fortunately it was dark enough for beetles, so I snagged a goliath and told her I had to go. However, she beat me to the counter and started speaking to Leilani. I sat there for 10 minutes waiting for her to finish, but she didn't, so I asked if she wanted to do a tour. Still no response. I wasn't going to wait all day, so I forced myself to flick the wireless switch. At least my Bells were returned.

I tried again, and ended up with another French girl. She was nicer and didn't have much to say besides asking me if I spoke French. I told her no and she let me be. I caught a golden stag and quickly left so I could get back to town. Nat inspected it and gave me a whopping 122 points! That was definitely enough.

I saved for a while until the ceremony. I was first place, Chops was second, and Marina was third.

I still had a while before K.K. Slider's Saturday show, so I went back to Club Tortimer, this time choosing the North America option. A girl named Kelsey was there, and she was from Wisconsin. She was really nice! We went on a few tours, exchanged some gifts, and I managed to pick up a pink wet suit. I was surprised one was there; on my last town, I never found one. I eventually said goodbye and headed back to Camellia.

I had a good 20 minutes to kill, so I visited another dream town. The town I went to was made by this user on Tumblr (the dream address is farther down the page if you're interested). It's a more natural town and super relaxing! Here's a couple of pictures I got:

The QR codes were superb as well, so if you need some ideas, I definitely recommend checking out that town.

And to end my night, I went to K.K. Slider's show.

That's all for today! A bit long, but I hope you all enjoyed. See you next time! c:

Congratulations on obtaining the Balloon Hunter badge and completing your fossil exhibit! I'm surprised that you finished so early as well-it usually takes a few months to complete!
Another congratulations to placing first in the Bug-Off! Catching a golden stag definitely gave you that boost to hitting above the other villagers' scores. :)
Club Tortimer can give you some weird experiences, can't it? :p

Well done with obtaining the Balloon Hunter badge, collecting all of your fossils, and winning the Bug-Off! I didn't have much luck. :p

I'll have to check out that Dream Town sometime. It looks awesome!
