Here are two facts that this entry is about:
If you don't know what this means, the facts are explaining that whatever there's less of rids what there's more of.
The universe is infinitely big. If there are no stars, there are no sources of light or heat, which means it's cold and dark everywhere. Even having a lot of stars isn't going to get rid of the dark and cold completely. However, they will provide a lot of light and heat locally, no matter how dim or cool it is. And what's even smaller than these bright and hot balls of gas is something so tiny you can't even see them in comparison to the sources of light and heat - humans.
Now on Earth, we get more light and heat, but even that is part time. Between the relationship of light and dark and cold and hot, you can see who's going to win.
Light vs Dark:
When light is everywhere, a source of dark will always lose if light gets inside. However, depending on the angle of the light, a shadow may form, which is dark. If you’re within an object, you’re within the darkness. As the light goes over the object, the object goes over the darkness. But when you’re beyond, the light is unbeatable.
When darkness is everywhere, a source of light will always when once it turns on. However, the light can only illuminate so much of an area, so when you go beyond it, you’re in the darkness. But wherever it’s coming from won’t be dark because the darkness was defeated by the light. And if you’re out in the darkness, you can combat it with light. But you can’t combat all of it with light, so you have to stick within the areas of the light.
It turns out that darkness is all over the place. Light can’t stop it all, but when light is in a particular area, light will always win.
Therefore, the darkness is infinite, but the light is more powerful.
Hot vs Cold:
Just like the light vs dark battle, it is cold everywhere without a source of heat, but a source of heat will beat the cold.
When it’s hot everywhere, a cooling source may only work well within the indoors. But when it’s cold everywhere, a heating source will work anywhere. It’s also worth noting that it’s hard to keep yourself cool when you’re hot, but it’s easy to keep yourself warm when you’re cold.
Also like the light vs dark battle, heat may beat the cold, but it can only heat so much area. So when you’re away from a source of heat, you can start another.
Therefore, the coldness is infinite, but the heat is more powerful.
