Anyway, any hints of a Mario Kart 9? That series seems pretty standard for each system.

Having read your question and your original post, does it not make it obvious that the Wii U games will then not be compatible with the new console? Instead, it will encourage customers to purchase more games that specifically suit the new console. Again, another tactic that Nintendo uses for the purpose to earn money and gain interest from it's customers.

As far as I know, it hasn't been confirmed. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong. I'm assuming that the Wii U games won't be compatible due to the reasons I mentioned in the above post.

You know what I'm really happy about? They are going to release NX games for the Wii U as well. It would be so typical of Nintendo to stop, in order to promote their new console, but they're keeping their fans in mind, loyal fans who have bought the Wii U (and the 3DS) and are gonna release them for those older consoles as well. It's one of very few business decisions they've made in recent years that I can really respect.

Not holding out any hope for the Beyond Good and Evil sequel, since it's been rumoured for-****ing-ever, but oh man...that would be the greatest news ever if it came true.

Rivaled only by Psychonauts actually getting a sequel. LIKE IT NEEDS.

Your source says absolutely nothing about the end of Wii U game production. It is talking about Wii U consoles.

Apart from that, Nintendo themselves debunked this information just a few hours after people reported on it.

Again, the source you gave doesn't say that at all (and has been debunked). You haven't given a proper source for this claim.
