You know, anybody with enough courage could just make a new thread stating their opinions on this. They could even make THEIR own tier list, considering some of you guys are itching to see a new one. Or, somebody could just post their thoughts on the list being not updated

This isn't solely an opinion based list though. The villagers are ranked for how in demand they are and how high they're going for too. The guy has to do a lot of work researching all of that so I can understand him not keeping promises... Though I guess you shouldn't make promises you can't keep. Also something may have happened to him and we may not know it. It's frustrating, I know, not knowing if this is even correct or not anymore, but we either just have to be patient, or do the research ourselves. And let's be quite honest, most of us probably don't have enough drive to do that XD

Ok, can we just stop posting on this thread until there is an update. I mean whenever I look at this thread someone has to be complaining about there not being an update. Be patient, you probably have something better to do than complain about there not being an update. You could also just make your own personal one, if you want to know what happens.

Hey man take your time with updating I just wanna suggest that when you get around to it that you put Beau in his own tier cuz some person on the forums actually bought him for 10 billion bells and I think that's worthy of a tier of it's own.
Some names that I've petitioned for it: the "So Popular That Someone Was Willing To Make 6,000 Trips To And From Their Bank To Put Down 10 Billion Bells for This Damn Villager tier, the "I Hope You're Hacking Your Bells Cuz You're Not Getting This Villager Any Other Way" tier, or maybe the "This Took Overrated To A New Level"tier. Thoughts?

Actually, he got sold for around 60 million. Turns out trader was drunk and actually thought she had 10 billion bells. Owner of thread still gave Beau to her anyways, though. In any case, I personally think any villager being in their own tier is stupid. BEAUty is in the eye of the holder, after all.

It's also impossible to hold 10 billion bells in one player's account anyway. You can't even hold a proper 1 billion. The most you can hold is 999,999,999 bells.

Everyone should just like who they like and not want a character in their town just because that character is highly sought after (and probably only sought after because others starting seeking it). Some species are more popular (like cats and deer and dogs) and some aren't (I think the lions are hella creepy) but beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. For example, Antonio is my sweet anteater prince, and even if Antonio was so "unpopular" that he got put in a tier 6 labeled "losers no one wants" he'd still be my favorite. Basically, don't base who you want in your town on this list, and don't feel like a certain villager you like is actually not cool and you shouldn't like them just because they're in tier 5. I was honestly scandalized when I first got on this forum and saw my favorite villagers were "bottom of the barrel" because they're number one for me.
Also if we're quoting villagers let's just take a look at Ankha and observe that "all that glitters is not gold." So maybe you strive to get a tier 1 character and pay loads of bells only to realize they're just "eh" and they don't click for you. That's what happened to me with Poppy (though she just showed up in my town so I didn't have to pay). Everyone has different likes/dislikes; just remember that! uwu

I agree that we stop relying on a not extremely accurate estimate of who wants what many t fives or fours are autovoided while being desperately sought. It should be just sell who is leaving or put them up and as for wanting populars just to sell well sometimes many already have the t 1s and you can hardly give them away. I say if anyone is going give someone a chance to find out and if have one leaving put them up and see what happens..I don't like the tier system much...as a great indicator of whose worthy of selling in a non cycle search. Just how I see it, plus many dream lists include already obtained animals and polls too, I'd love to really dig in and take on the job in Aug of at least trying to sort through all the data of seekers currently and for whom.
