I'd consider moving Ankha down to high Tier Two. The highest I've seen offered for her lately is 5 million for a 100% original, and 1.5 million for slightly unoriginal. Her threads are barely getting replys as well

I'm not sure how far down she should be moved, but there's definitely been a decline in her popularity. I was just lurking in a cycling thread the other day and Ankha was nearly voided I believe. It took some time before anyone wanted her.

On another note, I notice a lot of people complaining about visiting dream towns that all seem to have similar villagers or the same villagers over and over, but it's just because people like them more. I don't think it has anything to do with what tier they're in. I believe the tiers just make it easier to trade/sell/buy. I'm sure most, if not all, players just look for whichever characters they find more attractive to them. Most of my villagers are high tiers, but I only have them because I think they're adorable! There are a few villagers in tier one that I'd never, ever, want in my town. Looking at you especially, Zucker. >> I'm actually kind of sad that I don't have more lower tier townies in my town. I like the feeling of having the undesirables and the under dogs, but alas, the villagers I like are mostly high tier.

I tried to sell Ankha for about a week straight on here. She was 100% original. Nobody wanted her. I had to void. I think she should be moved down to at least tier 2.
completely agree. i absolutely love her and she's one of my favorite snooties, but her popularity has really decreased. i've had her in multiple towns & threads and only one or two people wanted her out of all those times.

Also agree with previous posts about Ankha. I did manage to sell her but it took a while.
A lot of the tier 2's as well should be tier 3 or 4 I think. Kid Cat, Chrissy, Julian, Freya, Bob..I've voided all of these villagers and have seen some others having to do the same. :/

I think Ankha's cute, but I think the only reason she ever made Tier one was because she was especially different or unique compared to the other cat villagers. I also think that the cats are just popular in general.

I love Ankha. I wish there was a max of like 15 villagers so I could have her and a couple others xD
Although like you previously posted, and made a really good point about tier 1's, since they are so easy to sell (high/popular demand) eventually everyone gets those villagers. then demand decreases dramatically.
Having to keep up with alllll of the villagers and their tiers is definitely something that takes a ton of time, and attention. so I can sort of understand why the list hasn't been updated in a while. but it'd be nice to see a big update soon D:

One thing that really confuses me about how the tiers are decided... voiding someone means they're unpopular? What if it just means the people who would've wanted these villagers already have them and thus can't adopt them again? Meaning demand decreases as people obtain them, but they're still super popular. Does that make sense? I mean, I've seen people selling or cycling out villagers I love. I'd adopt them but they're already in my town soooo...
Of course, if it's a large amount of occurrences around the same villager then that's likely to be a different story, but one or two people having to void Bob doesn't really mean that Bob should be lowered, for example.
But doing a list like this and having to keep up with it all is a HUGE undertaking, and Hound00med is busy livestreaming and stuff so I understand it's hard to keep up with all that or to really know why a popular villager wasn't adopted.

I would say that anything that was part of a popular streamer or let's player's videos becomes super popular quickly. Villagers like Scoot (via Vinesauce) and Biskit (via chuggaconroy) seem to be more popular and highly looked for because of those videos. The villagers being cute on their own helps too.
A lot of people who watch Vinesauce and play acnl want Scoot in their town because of the fact he's cute and he's basically a Vinesauce inside joke/meme.
Does this list take into account outside factors like this or is it just based on this forum and the auctions? Sorry if this has been asked before.
