Little Things You Want?

Are there any small things you want to be added or changed, but which aren't consequential enough to warrant their own thread?

I personally hope they improve the layout of the Museum bug section. It seems that even when you obtain every bug, the exhibit still feels very empty. I'm not sure why they thought it was a good idea to spread them all out across 3 different rooms. The previous games had bug exhibits that felt much more cohesive and lively (even Gamecube's is more pleasing to look at), so I don't know what happened with New Leaf.

As far as QoL improvements and tweaks, I'd love it if they refined the Public Works system. Having a grid where you can manually place the build site, instead of having to physically walk there and shift around the space until you get it right, would be immensely helpful. It'd also be nice if they'd let us place works closer to things like buildings, the river, and the Town Center (this feature always frustrated me). One final thing would be an easier way to place patterns (paths) in the world. Having to manually place every single one, and then replace them when you accidentally press Y too close, was always frustrating to me, so a built in pattern-placing grid would be fabulous.

I would love if cherry trees actually had pink leaves instead of them being green, but I get why they did it considering the leaves change with the seasons but I always thought it would look much prettier, also it would be great if villagers could place their houses closer to each other to save space

I honestly disagree with the pink leaf idea due to it being too unrealistic, though I did think of something else related to flowers:

Why don't fruit trees have blossoms in Spring? In fact, they don't even have blossoms. They should give every fruit tree a slightly different shade. Pear and orange trees have white blossoms, apple trees have a whitish pink, peach and cherries have pink. Mangoes would have yellow.

Let us plot our/our villagers' houses on the beach! I saw someone who hacked NL to put Zucker's house on the beach and it actually really fit. I think putting the octopuses and any new aquatic villagers on the beach would be adorable.

Being able to see the size of fish and bugs in your inventory, and not just when you catch them or hand them in for a Fishing Tourney or Bug-Off, would be nice.

I'd also love some better letter and pattern features, like copy and paste.

As for cherry and other fruit blossoms, since it was mentioned, I mainly just want oak trees to stay oak trees and not have cherry blossoms during cherry blossom season. The pink doesn't fit in with the rest of my town at all.

Displaying fish sizes is a great idea, trying to sort them in my inventory from smallest to biggest was pretty tedious.

Stereo music is muted/lowered when you play a music box.

I thought you already could. But then again. I haven't had Cyrus in ReTail for months. I needed a new game because my ACNL town got corrupted, then I lost the game.

Also, A bigger house. I know it's silly, but you should have more rooms than just the main room on the second floor. That always bugged me

No, you can’t see a preview of it, that’s only in HHD, in NL, you only get text options of what the color varients are.

No, I agree with you, I thought you should have always more rooms on the second Floor. Not just the one main room, it should have mirrored the first floor.; having the same number of rooms (same goes for the basement)

I would love it if they gave us a color picker tool for pattern design so we can easily grab the correct color without having to guess one off the color palette (especially would be useful on designs that are entirely grey scale).
